I hope you're right! I would hope that Tiger Stadium hasn't regressed to the point to where there are empty seats in the Lower Bowl for a big SEC game at NIGHT!
over the last several years, I’ve seen exactly that. Which is why I posted this because I was pleasantly surprised and genuinely proud to see. Games like Saturday are unfortunately more the exception than the rule lately.

they have gone overboard with the piped in music, making the band damn near obsolete.

This was my first game since 2012 bama. It was pretty packed. Crowd was pretty good, especially on a couple big 3rd and 4th down plays. Not saying it was top 5 atmosphere but it was good.

But I was rather shocked with the piped in music. I don’t mind sometimes, but the DJ literally looked like he was playing over the band a lot of times. Is the DJ and band that disjointed on when and who should play?

I was running up and down the stairs with my kid on my shoulders

That sounds dangerous! I’m surprised a gang of moms didn’t attack you and make you stop! And why did Grandma allow this child endangerment, haha?

Ours is not the only stadium that does this.

I felt the same way. Someone has to understand the band gets the crowd going more than a lot of the crap that’s being piped in. I’m with you, sometimes it’s fine, but it’s over the top.

a lot of empty seats in the lower bowl but upon further review I believe they were seeing all the yellow (gold, lol) shirts

Nope, ‘fraid not- those west-side rich folk prime seats are empty by 3rd Q no matter what, EVERY GAME-

I’ve bitched about it for years- they ought to:
A): lose their season tickets, and…
B): let people from the upper decks come down and fill the seats beginning at the 4th Q

I know this will probably get hate but the light show bull shite is gimmicky. Just can’t help but feel we’ve lost some of the authenticity of the environment with all the LED shite.

Good news is no more wristbands for the rest of the season.

It was full until about the last 7-8 min of the 4th quarter.

I was watching the game on my TV, so no room for me to complain but I noticed that too. Especially in the East Upper. I'd imagine they were plenty ready to go after tailgating all day with temps in the mid-90s and then roasting up there for a good bit before the sun fully set.

Offense is fun when it’s firing, but I contend nothing gets TS rocking like a playmaking defense.

TS looked and sounded great on television. That broadcast really was a showcase for LSU and Tiger Stadium. Reminiscent of the Alabama game a couple of years ago.

Haha grandma was not very happy about it. My 3yr old had a hell of a good time though!

I know this will probably get hate but the light show bull shite is gimmicky. Cannot stand it. Besides that the noise and environment were great. Just can’t help but feel we’ve lost some of the authenticity of the environment with all the LED shite.
_________

Disagree. I enjoyed the lights. I brought 2 teenagers that really liked it.

The stadium and the crowd get a A from me.

3rd downs were deafening all game

One of the reasons Lagway looked like uncle rico out there
________

Agree. Our area was yelling loudly most of the night when our defense was out there. Just now getting my voice back. Our group had a blast.

I started going to games in 1962. I’ve attended through all subsequent eras of Tiger Stadium and all of the epic games.
I was there Saturday night.

The numerous 3-1/2 minute commercials absolutely kill any and all atmosphere every time.

The atmosphere in Tiger Stadium will never return to former glory.

The light show was somewhat entertaining. It also kept kids entertained, allowing their parents to enjoy the game. I think it was a major plus. The family in front of us talked about the kids enjoyment during the game.

Of the 7 home games last season, 6 were over 100k. The lower bowl was packed Saturday.
