Thank you for your service.

That was over 50 years ago. The city is vastly different than what you saw. So is the country as a whole. You inpart made made it possible for the country to do so.

The condition of a country during a war over 50 years ago does not reflect what it has become now. Been to Japan lately? Germany? Italy? I doubt it. They too are vastly different thanks in large part to our troops and their sacrifice.

However you should not curse someone about something you know nothing about.

I know when I saw a sticker for a German soccer team on a Baton Rouge bus, I was totally impressed

Apparently you were impressed enough to remember the sticker.

I tag LSU stickers everywhere I travel. Will be going to Cozumel in December and need to re-up. She did well.

Probably the coolest beach bar I have ever been to was in San Pedro, Belize. It was right on the beach and kinda "tiki-style" hut but big enough to have a full size wrap around bar and a decent amount of people. The really cool thing about it was they allowed (and actually encouraged) all the tourist visiting from the states to put stickers, hats, signs, etc of their favorite teams all over the inside walls of the bar. In fact, it was covered from one side to the other. Of course by far the most stickers for college teams was LSU. Really awesome place and good times.

I agree that defacing pieces of ancient history with college football stickers is probably not appropriate. However, the pictures show a sticker placed on the window of what appears to be a large public transportation bus. Since when is that a national monument or historic treasure?

Secondly,

I saw an American family (of course they were overweight and dressed like idiots)

What does this mean? Smells of a dirty hippy who is really proud of his liberal arts degree and how smart and "wordly" he is now - looking down from his perch on the disgusting, fat, uneducated, western family.

Give me a break, I'm sure your BMI is over 35 and you probably don't have a job.

I was actually at Westminster Abbey and saw a Bama fan and we chatted. Later I saw him putting a national champs sticker on a sign out front. I promptly went over and removed it. I too hate to see people, however innocent it is, defacing something that doesn't belong to them. Decorate your living room, car, kids, boat, whatever that is yours but don't bother mine. If I want a sticker on there I will put it on there. It's my property. Yes, this includes the tree poisoning, teabagging or anything else idiots do. This also includes putting an AU jersey on Bryants statue. It psd me off too and even though trees shouldn't have been poisoned the idiot that put the jersey on there should have been taught a "lesson" personally. it also includes putting a tiger tail on a statue or the like. Police can be pretty nonchalanat when it comes to prosecuting people who deface the person who defaced private property. I'm surprised more people don't take action when private property is being defaced.

It's childish and if your goal is to ruin a trip of mine to Germany by seeing an LSU sticker then you vastly overestimate yourself and ability to ruin me and my family vacation. Get over yourself. Your school nor mine is the end all be all to everyone.

Was right there in Lucerne back after my sophomore year at LSU way back in 1980. Absolutely beautiful country and tell your cousin Way to Geaux on representing the Tiger nation. Makes me proud to show off our pride around the globe.

Was I responding to the stickers on the bus window, or to his suggestion that she put stickers on the Eiffel Tower?
