Still young, relatively speaking. Great defensive mind. Big name. Great recruiter. Proven head coach who was consistent over a long time period. If his batteries are recharged, it might be a good hire. Sure, he did lose some big games but his teams usually dominated the teams they were supposed to and were 10-2 or better most of the time. Pair him up with a great OC and I think it would work.

I certainly hope they do not call him which I even doubt if they would, it would be a retread move at best. What’s up with the love for him he’s been out of the game for a few years and was replaced by somebody who will overtime be a better coach..

Again I hope Woodward is more focused on hiring the best coach not the best name.

So you're saying LSU fans would've wanted him fired in 1999, 2005, 2009, and 2014. That's what I'm getting out of this.

He called Pat Casey so I wouldn’t be shocked.

Is Sexton his agent? If so I really won’t be Shocked.

This is dumb and you should feel dumb for even thinking it, much less posting it.

What the hell makes you thing LSU is desperate enough that they would need to call a coach that hasn't coached college football in 5+ years? LSU is one of the top 10 jobs in the country. People call us, not the other way around. We don't pick up scraps from the retirement pile.
