Pitching. Hitting has come around late in the season. It's going to be interesting to see how Jay evaluates this moving into next season. I don't think Yeskie is safe. It would pretty ignorant to say he isn't having it tough losing so many quality arms through the year. That would be ignoring how the overwhelming majority of the pitchers from last year have regressed though.

This is what is going to happen against good teams every time. It’s rinse and repeat. The hitting is doing their jobs consistently while the pitching keeps shitting the bed and blowing every game. Which just means the pitching is arse. No other way to put it.

When you score 8 runs in a SEC weekend series you should win in the vast majority of games. This team is horrible at giving up a lot of runs late in games. I would be willing to bet if you swap out eight runs for LSU in every game under Maineri or Lavel, you wouldn’t have a season as bad as this under either coach.
