B.S he just can’t coach or recruit. Very many mid major are competitive and they don’t have LSU Men Basketball budget. Needs to be let go today. The misery needs to end.

Some of you refuse to ever learn.

"LSU can't fire Kelly. They don't have the money for the buyout."

"LSU cant afford to pay Kiffin that much money."

"LSU doesnt have the NIL money to compete with other people."

You keep repeating this over and over again, even after being proven wrong over and over again. What does it take for some of you to understand?

They never will. It’s a generational inferiority complex passed down across Louisiana for some.

Don’t they lose money every year? WBB is the most overrated college sport out there.

McMahon is a great dude I’m sure but he’s a terrible coach.

"Unless the rest of the season goes horribly"??? That's exactly how it's going and will continue.

LSU spent $2 million on hoops last season when all SEC teams were way ahead of that pace.

What about this season? Where has it gotten us. You can’t get curb stomped by the bottom dwellers in the conference. The team last not did not show up ready to play. State came out and dominated us physically by a team that did not have a size advantage. That just can’t happen in the increasingly dire situation that he is in.
Good luck to coach mcmahon, but at a certain point the results have to matter. He’s had his shot, and this isn’t the place for him to win.

LSU gave MM 5.5 mil which is on par with all other sec schools. He deserves to be fired because he’s a bad coach

And we’re one of the best at it.

It may not be your cup of tea and that’s fine. But it doesn’t matter what sport (or what “sport”) it is: if they’re keeping score , I want LSU to win.

I have never said it about football, but football has supporters at LSU. Basketball doesn’t have the support. If we do fire CMM this year, and have to pay the buyout for him and his staff, we will have to find a cheap coach and won’t have money for a competitive roster.

If they get the right coach LSU basketball will win immediately.
As far as I'm concerned, McHallman is already fired and out the door.

At this point, it's just a matter of WHEN, not IF.

TIme to start discussing who the next HC will be.

Wade. (Commisioner Rousse got a P&G Bat Phone directly to WW's secret Bat Cave office in NC)
Beard.
Drew.
Unretired Pearl.
Unretired Bennett.

Who else yall got?

Please hush…. They sell out every home game and most places where they play… you don’t know much I guess. MBB is horrible to watch. They are terrible.

You don’t understand ticket prices, tv deals, merchandise sales, and the extremely bloated cost of the women’s programs staff. The women’s program operates at a deficit of $8mm so you can be excited only momma bears next jacket and beating the brakes off of nearly every team because they all operate at a fraction

Edit to say…it’s a very flashy charity case

I know they sell out. That wasn’t the question I asked. I know they lost money the year they won the national championship. My question was are they still losing money as a program.
Just curious if some of the money being spent on WBB could be spent on MBB that is still profitable despite being painful to watch.

McMahon was never going to be it, awful fit here from the beginning

Why?

At the time, seemed like a good hire on paper. His name was thrown around with the other big names, and Murray is a damn good program with a reputation for having good coaches.

He’s fallen flat here, but when the move was made I thought it was solid.

His teams at Murray weren’t impressive and knowing the coaching tree he’s from it was a pretty safe bet he’d fail.

CMM has sucked at LSU, but his last team at Murray was impressive. It was 30-2 in the regular season and won their first round in the tournament, and that was a team with Justice Hill as their PG. One of their 2 losses by 12 points was to 12th ranked Auburn. That team had KJ Williams, who was probably the best player in their league, which is why I say that if you give him superior talent, then he'll do okay. I think it makes sense to keep him until his buyout is affordable, and use a portion of what would go towards the buyout to give him superior talent.

Any coach would be ok if they had the best talent. He can’t beat teams equal or better than him and he loses far too many vs teams who aren’t on his level. It makes no sense to keep him, what good would that do for anyone?
