So scared that Wade is so good that he will be gone off to a blue blood program after next season....basketball is 3rd in the minds of most LSU fans and won't ever be higher...We might end up watching him take a team with waters, Naz, Smart, and the other new talents so far that someone with the pedigree of Indiana or Kansas comes knocking. And idk if we have enough here to convince wade to stay and build his name here...he could do it no doubt...with the players he gets and how he coaches, this guy could make a D2 school a final four squad...but when does the desire to be at the very top of the sport call him away and leave us in tears. It's not a secret that come April 2019 after two years of remarkable turnaround that the entire basketball fanbase at LSU is left wondering what we could've done better to keep him and will be left with a gutted program after attrition kills us, with a coach that has to try to compare to the level of optimism and potential that Wade brought and we will watch a decline that ruins us that was even faster than the rise Wade has been responsible for.

Man, you are such a miserable troll... Remember that time your butt buddy JJ's team scored 13 points against the Aggies? Because I do

He seems like a builder. If that is the case, let him build the program. Give him the facilities he wants, and the firepower he needs. It won’t take much for the LSU basketball team to become a profitable entity, if it isn’t already.

He’s an incredible builder. Next years class is stupid. If he can get Waters to stay we’ll be preseason top 15.

If Butler can hang onto Brad Stevens for years then LSU can hang onto Will Wade.

This was a strong win. But, he hasn't come close to proving himself. One SEC win isn't enough, but I'm glad we won.

You're not paying attn to what he had to do just to GET this roster, before even coaching a game.

This. I’ve watched damn near every LSU basketball game for a decade and Will Wade is special. No doubt about it.

Wow I didn't think he would make that much . I figured around 1.5 or something in that area. I do realize this is probably low compared to big basketball schools.

This is the Top 5 and I suspect that putting him b/w 3-4m range would be offset by the increased attendance in the PMAC. WW is currently in the ~2.5m range.

Mike Krzyzewski $7.3m

John Calipari $6.5m

**Rick Pitino** $6m

Bill Self $4.7m

Sean Miller $4.5m

#10 is Tom Crean at ~$3.1m

I'm just gonna start making this my fLucking (not a cussword) signature line: There are only 2 schools (UNC & UCLA) that would have a PRAYER to defeat our all time team. Coach Wade doesn't have to leave here, he can get any fLucking player he needs at LSU!!!!!!!!!

Also Highland rd, when Wade REALLY gets us rolling, baseball is gonna be such an afterthought, your head will spin. I have seen LSU when they were a top 5-10 program, and that pmac will be packed and rocking, and hoops will be right up there with fb in BR.

LSU has never been a top 5 -10 “program”. Sure they had a few years here and there where they were ranked pretty high...especially preseason like when they had Shaq, CJ, Stanley etc.

Get a grip man. It takes a special kind of downer to turn a hypothetical great season into such a depressing end.

Well, guessing at some point we will have to step up to the line. I understand coach
spek, but I believe there was a statement along they that “LSU is a dream job”. The correct statement at the time till the $ hit the table.

Hold on pal. Dale took us to 13 STRAIGHT NCAA TOURNAMENTS. Our program at that time was top 10-15 without a doubt.

Really LSU once was a top 5-10 program, but only for a short time: 1978-79 season and the next two seasons as well. Those teams were loaded, featuring Rudy Macklin, Rick Mattick, Jordy Hultberg, Ethan Martin, the "Cookie" man, and *gasp* Johnny Jones.

Growing up w Hi C, Cookie Monster, etc, lsu basketball was awesome! Songs about the team on WFMF, packed house, etc. there is zero reason basketball won't sell out and be as big in basketball as we are in baseball.
What we need is Wade.
A couple of good years, then top talent can choose to stay home. The closest top tier team is what Kansas, Kentucky, or Florida? A good coach will be able to compete for titles yearly. Heres hoping Wade stays long term.

Genestealer I PROMISE YOU that if in 1990, ncaa coaches were asked to list the top 10 PROGRAMS in college basketball, LSU would have been solidly in that top 10. If you disagree you either weren't there or didn't pay much attention. Fron 1979-1993 we where MOST DEFINITELY a top 10 program, and Wade will have us back there with the quickness.
