He hired Ed O, Aranda, and Ensminger?

And his refusal to do anything but toss dives turned us into the greatest offense ever.

Give it up!

Les was a fricking bum who couldn't coach or recruit without Sabans help. Once that dried up LSU was lucky to win 8 games with a stable outdated offense. He led LSU to some dark times and should never be allowed to be at LSU again.

He also squandered more NFL-quality talent than most college coaches ever get in their careers. Just think of how many national titles we might've won if he had just gotten out of his own way.

Oh well, if it wasn't for his failure and subsequent firing, we might not ever have gotten to where we are today.

And he recruited..

Fournette, Jarvis, OBJ, Guice, Greedy, Jamal, and........

countless other supreme talent.

Nothing to show for it after the SEC championship in 2011.

Meanwhile, Ed takes Aranda and Ensminger and wins a Natty.

Fournette

It's so sad that during his time at LSU we didn't win a championship of any kind, not even the SEC West.

Define dark times. We have been to the NC game 4 times in the last 17 years. That’s 25% of the time. That’s 1 out of 4.

Guess how many teams out of the 125 can claim a better percentage

in 2011 had the 3rd undefeated sec title in the last 50 previous lsu seasons with zero help from saban.

he also took a OSU program with 1 non losing season in the previous 11 years and had them winning 7,8,9 games.

at some point he was a decent coach. just not at the end of LSU'S tenure

No other name can divide this fan base quicker than Les fricking Miles.
Admins should start banning OP’s for bringing up his name.

Miles and Orgeron reached 40 wins in the same number of games. Are you suggesting the same thing about Orgeron?

Yes, yes he did. And then tied their hands behind their backs.

He absolutely did. I'm just trying to get some consistency here. If we're going to credit Saban for the '07 championship then the same should be said for Miles this year. My personal opinion is that the 3rd year is all on the current coach. Give some credit to the previous coach for helping recruit the upperclassmen, but the current coach is the one developing those kids for 3 years.

Leslie had a future championship OC, who was a former qb, coaching tight ends. let that sink in.
