How about are you serious? I'm not an O fan, but you obviously know nothing about recruiting. Do you not have any clue how many LSU has lost over the years "in their own back yard"? LSU had an absolute brutal end of the 80's going through the mid to late 90's because they lost all of the really talented "back yard" players. There's a f@cking Alabama linebacker that played in Baton Rouge at UNIVERSITY HIGH (doesn't get more back yard than that), who played on the same team as Les Miles' son who decommitted from LSU when Miles was the coach. Sh@t happens where all teams lose recruits in their own back yard all of the time. This was a huge get keeping Stingley Jr.

We have had classes ranked highly before and they were filled with wr’s, db’s, and other skill position players.

While this kid is an obvious take (I can’t believe I even felt the need to type that) I want this to be a top class filled with beef.

I like he direction last class was taking and not getting surtain did not spur me on it. I like the direction of his class and want it to be great. There is a lot of time left and kids to get. Here’s to hoping we get all of them.

Let’s wait on those signed LOI before lavishing too much praise. The burns from the last NSD are still pretty fresh

Can we wait to give him credit once the signature are on the LOI?

there are some that will never give him credit because it has never been about that .. for some it was about Miles being let go, for others it was a bad hire and others just did not like a Cajun at the helm.

SOME will be open minded and turn based on/if positive results, other will keep on finding faults.

Here we go again, guys on here begging for others to give Orgeron validation for things he's supposed to be doing, like getting an in-state recruit.

so you do not think anyone should be validated for doing a good job ... what kind of work do you do ?

I guess all award shows etc should be cancelled, and all recognition in Corporate America should be stopped.

It just kills you that he has done something that may be good and some are noticing.

Enjoy California.

I'm fine with the multiple threads celebrating the actual recruit.

I'm just wondering why Orgeron's getting threads for doing his job. Miles landed these type of guys all the time and no one ever asked for congrats in a different thread for him. It was expected.

You guys treat O like he's a toddler that just learned how to make potty.

considering as inept as he was made out to be ...
some did not think he could find the stadium.

I do not know what the results will be, but it is not that easy landing all these kids, it takes effort.

We celebrate all of the recruits for Wade .. what's the difference ?
the days of "state lines" being a deciding factor are pretty much over.

Wait, are YOU serious? Short time memory should remember Dylan Moses. Hell he went to University High in Baton Rouge before going to IMG

The difference is Orgeron's recruiting ability was sold as his greatest strength. Even his biggest critics conceded he could recruit. Everybody clamoring for patience with him has been saying the 2019 class in the state could push Orgeron over the top.

Now, when every commit is treated with posts like "OMG look how great O is doing!" or "Eat it, negatigers!" it comes off like they didn't fully believe what they were selling.

With Wade, I'm not sure anyone really knew what to expect from a recruiting perspective. Granted, basketball takes fewer star recruits to turn things around, but I think Wade's recruiting has wowed even the biggest optimists, considering where we were as a program. It's not the most equal of comparisons to Orgeron's situation.

What's the Wow for? There have been lots of coaches who couldn't beat Auburn in their own stadium when they weren't near as talented. It's a tough place to play and win. Idk what's so surprising there? We also have the toughest schedule in college football in 2018.

If we can beat one of Georgia or Bama, lose one of the road games to Auburn or Florida, then that's a 10-2 season. Winning both road games and one of GA and Bama would put us at 11-1. That's not asking for a little much out of this team? Of course it could happen if everything falls the right way and our freshman play like animals. It's a tough schedule but it's laid out nicely. Good mix of home games and road games.

It's really sad man! Our coach can't even land 5* players without criticism. It's something I've never seen before in my life. Thier minds are warped.

Most who believe that are stupid. When u have to recruit against Saban Fisher Herman Gus Mullen etc. it’s a tall task landing elite talent like Stingley. Regardless of where they are from

I'm going to keep posting this every time I see one of these asinine comments:

LSU's 247 Composite Team Rankings

2013 #6
2014 #2
2015 #5
2016 #2

On September 25, 2016, after LSU head coach Les Miles was fired following a loss to Auburn, Orgeron was named the team's interim head coach.

On November 26, 2016, LSU removed the "interim" tag from Orgeron's title and formally named him as its 32nd full-time head coach.

no one is criticizing him for the most part. Just some are meeting the "EAT IT NEGA TIGERS!!! WE RIDIN!!!WE BACK!!" with sort of a "well no shite this is the one thing O sold himself on"

O has to prove himself on the field, not in the living room to win over most of his critics. Why don't you just enjoy the commit and not worry about people being mean to Ed?
