How the hell was that just on Chester?

It’s not, the sack is obviously on Chester. It’s up to Nuss to not fumble it.

The OP said the miss block by Chester was what resulted in the fumble.
It's Nuss job to hold on to it.

He barely got touched before he fumbled

That is an amazing play to watch.

On another note, Nussmeier turning his back to ultimately roll out to his left is a bad, bad, idea.

I’m afraid that Nuss is ruined for a while. He leaves the pocket way too soon sometimes, and his footwork has become worse.

Lol. Neither Chester nor the LG blocked anyone.

But that play was not his fault. Get a grip.
The fumble was 100% on Nuss

He sees the guy and has enough time to run away. Which means he had plenty of time to either throw it away or secure the ball

The play being a bust is on Chester, the fumble is 100% on Nuss. The contact wasn’t even that hard at all

Chester and Mubenga will both be starters next season. Let that sink in. Our o line coach is a good recruiter. He sucks at developing players.

He's the worst center I've seen in 30 years of following the Tigers.

I'd bet he has more snap infraction offside calls this year than we have had in the last 30 years combined. He's done it every fricking game it seems like.

I don't understand why he's still starting.

Look at this play. and no i'm not saying it had anythign to do with the interception, but watch Chester get thrown like a rag doll.

Exactly lol

Needs to move to the arm side so he has some throwing options, or just immediately ground the ball at the RB

Just absolutely terrible by Chester but Nuss has to throw it away or at least not fumble the damn ball.

I’m ok if players are in position and an opponent makes a great play that happens. What is not ok is we have one of the highest paid staffs and players make boneheaded decisions, blow coverage and generally look confused. That’s coaching.

You couldn’t really tell from that angle, but in his defense, he had his helmet on backwards….

He's been really bad since the first game. How many false start penalties has he had by flinching the snap? Isn't there anyone else who can play the position? The center is the most important linemen on the oline, especially from the mental aspect of calling signals. Is this a coaching problem with Davis? Have to feel for the young man, as he seems physically weak and has not been coached up to handle the position.

BK should have both Chester and Brad Davis running ladders until they puke for this play alone.

I agree that we HAVE to find a new Center, but Nuss turning his back to the LOS and rolling back to his left is a terrible new habit... No trust in his OL and no pocket "feel"...

It was bad enough that he was looking to the left when the guy Was about to run past him, but then he looked forward and you know he could see him and still had no reaction whatsoever
