He had OBJ, Jarvis, Hill. Our defense has been wrecked by attrition so we had to open it up.

And they had one of the best third down conversions % in LSU history. It was still run, run third and long

Lol when I saw who he hired to be his new OC at Kansas I went check him out and found that his best offenses look just like Miles’ worst at LSU. All his offenses are basically LSU 2014 with Jennings. So when I saw they got beat by east west coastal A&M Tech this week I wasn’t surprised and anyone who thought that guy was ever going to change was crazy.

We didn’t open it up in 2013, Mett had fewer than 300 attempts that season, (24 per game) (Burrow averaged 29 last year) we just made big plays nearly everytime we threw the ball. We ran the ball 62% of the time and threw 38% of the time even with those weapons and that QB. He’s the worst offensive mind of this century by Miles. Paul Johnson’s triple option offense was more creative and dangerous.

By the way, Miles is off to a great start at Kansas - had to score a late TD to beat an FCS team, and lost last week to Coastal Carolina.

right, no argument from me. most kno les was a garbage offensive coach. he severely underachieved. had natty talent in 05, 06 07 2011, 2012 and 2016 and came way with just 1 natty.

however with all his fauklts and underachieveing we need hardware from O to say O is better results wise. it is what it is.

How much does a job like that pay? Should be public knowledge, right?

Very true.
2 of his 4 top 5 LSU all time scoring offenses came after 2008. Yep he has 4/5 seasons with most TDs by rush or pass, a purely offensive stat. He owns #1 #2 #3 and #5 IIRC.

I think the CFB offensive landscape evolved without him, but you guys should read the LSU Media Guide because you sound ridiculous to anyone who knows the LSU record book.

Yes he did. That being said, he did have to face the national championship winning teams in 06, 11 and 12. And 2005 was his first year that included two hurricanes that affected the team early in the year. And of course he didn't finish the 2016 season.

13-14 game totals pretty much eliminate any stats before 1990. We sucked from 90-96. Pre 1970’s offenses sucked for the most part. Bowl games haven’t always counted in stats.

Steve Kragthorpe was a homerun hire. Miles had no way of knowing that he would be diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. You people can't let anything go, can you?

Cam Cameron was a good OC at times in his career. Miles’ philosophy is what brought them all down.

Gary crowton won a nc at LSU.

Judging by his history and the kind of offense he had at Tulsa, I truly believe that if he had become OC (if Les wouldn't meddle with him) he would have modernized our offense.

we didn't need to "modernize" the offense. we needed to get back to running it efficiently. if anything, Krag/ Stud streamlined what we did. Crowton had a whole lotta shite in that playbook. the QBs - Jefferson in particular - were just shitty at executing it.
