we’re talking about a game here. I think people will be okay. He’s not getting fired any time soon.

Nah. Miles 2.0. He bilked us. Just let the lawyers work out a 15 yr payment plan unless somehow they pull it off and we get to CFP

Which should mean fat Scott is terminated for failing two different ways: he put us in a position where we aren’t able to fire for bad performance and he is failing to raise funds needed to do such because people don’t want him to bungle it again. He also has flatlined the only other sport that turns a big profit if wanted a third thing he is failing at.

Rantards gonna Rant. Same shite every year. Fire the coach, play the backup quarterback and on and on and on and on. The same people spewing the same bullshite day after day…50 fricking posts about the same goddamn thing. Makes this site unreadable.

I have a good buddy whose dad is a former player, L Club member, and a high dollar donor to both TAF and the general LSU endowment fund. I asked him how he felt about Brian Kelly. He declined to comment on BK’s personality, but did say that, from a business perspective, many do not feel they are getting a good return on their investment. That’s pretty telling if you ask me. He didn’t say anything about firing Kelly or how much longer they will give him before there is a call for action, but apparently the TAF fat cats don’t feel they are getting what they paid for.

This is our team. Nothing is changing

Let’s be clear: Kelly did not bilk us. We did this to ourselves . We have an AD who threw way too much money (for too long) at Kelly.

This i dont think is necessarily true. I do see some scenarios where he is fired next year.

This is the dumbest statement of the year… we are struggling to keep up with NIL benchmarks. Everybody bitchin about paying anything LSU can put a price on and you think SW is going to run a behind the scenes campaign to raise $70 mil to sack the coach. Wow

This is true, but there are too many ding dongs on this site who are convinced Brian Kelly will be fired at the end of the season if he fails to make the playoffs. That is not going to happen; he's got at least three more years at LSU before this is even a consideration.

List them and show your work (how we pay for it).

Its not reality if you want to stay current with elite talent. LSU has the money to buy (and retain) players. We do not have the money to do that and hire and fire coaches.

Some assistants are absolutely getting fired, we can afford that.

His buyout is contingent on him looking for work after termination. Les miles for example settled for significantly less than his buyout and continued coaching. If this season and next season go poorly enough there could be scenarios that LSU and Kelly settle for an amount they can afford. There's also the off chance he has a mysterious boating accident. I dont think mediocre will get him fired this year or next like it did miles but bad like Ogeron could.

While possible, it is the biggest waste of time I can imagine on a message board.

CBK needs the right supporting cast. He's not there this year. But if Coach Oeaux can win a title, then certainly CBK can.

To settle you have to have some form of leverage, it’s a contractual relationship with a term.

To be fair I have not seen a lot of this. I have seen Fire Brad Davis and Joe Sloan not so much the call for Kelly to be fired....

We are stuck with Kelly for at least 2 more years. Just hope he fires Davis and Sloan after this season.

I'm so glad SW locked him in for 10 years. 5 or 6 would have just been nuts!

Sad thing is he knows that, too. He’s getting paid regardless of the product that he puts on the field.
