Brah I went to Southern, obviously will be wearing blue. But family ties has made me an LSU fan for life. Southern has zero chance in this game, and will be a blowout.

Triple option teams catch some much more talented teams off guard every year because it takes discipline to defend it. LSU has traditionally not been one of those teams. I'm not saying it can't happen, but LSU has traditionally been disciplined and defended the triple option well.

TOTM - Good luck, dude. I’ve had many a beer with GSU grads and all are UGA fans first and foremost and not one thinks GSU has a chance against LSU. I appreciate your dedication, but it’s reaching levels of delusion.

That is sad. Those GSU alums are turn coats. Just as I have talked to 2 LSU fans that wanted to go to BAMA. Sadly, you get all kinds!

Problem is that LSU may win the game but suffer some losses.

I doubt Georgia Southern stays within 20 of LSU in the second half but why I think the game could be a win and loss at the same time is because of the way they block.
Going to be tough on the DL. Need to rotate early and often and play everyone especially since it is going to be hot.

Hey CB, you mean like these games!

When GSU moved to FBS our new head coach Fritz and staff switched to the Shotgun option. He did very well using the new system but left after his second year at GSU.

Most of you dont know much about GSU's past in FCS. we won 6 FCS National Championships whole we in FCS starting in 1985 running the Spread Triple Option, which really doesn't mean much to you.
GSU's last year in FCS under HC Monken vs SEC UofFlorida using the Spread Triple Option 8min video.

Last year Southern went 9-3 and a bowl win = 10-3. "IF" GSU has improved to = Fritz's Shotgun Option Attack at Southern it may be a closer game then you think. GSUs DEFENSE WILL BE FINE!

They don't run the same offense they did with all the cut blocks. They even throw a little.

TALON - It's my understanding that many LSU fans and team members are acquainted with leather and lace bars down in the House of the Rising Sun area. I'm sure that your players and staff have been well disciplined over the years.

Thanks for the input, but O underestimated Troy in 2017 and caught all kinds of hell. He won’t repeat that mistake. Your team is not going to get that sloppiness or those second chances out of LSU.

O knows he can’t drop another game like that without his job being in peril. LSU will be looking to make a statement in every game this year.

I dated a girl from Georgia and she would always say Southern was the STD school. So it might be the syphilis.

Chad Lunsford is your coach now.

There is a stat about GSU.
When they use mainly triple option they win 75% of the time.
When they don't it is like 30%

Majority of your offense is still from Paul Johnson.
Watched you against App State last year

You are correct GSUsTALON
It will be a closer game than most Tiger fans think and very physical. GA Southern is not a pushover and their option will give LSU trouble IF they aren’t well prepared.

One thing that worries me is that Option heavy teams (shotgun option, triple option, etc) seem to cause a lot of injuries to defenses.

I think it will be a great first game for the Tigers that they win after they turn up the heat in the second half. Should get them ready to pound the living dog shite out of the Horns!

How about something more recent, from November 2018? Will Georgia Southern show up with the same coach, offense and defense as the team that lost to ULM by 19 points in November ?

In all likelihood LSU is going to beat the shite out of GSU.
