Most of you dont know much about GSU's past in FCS. we won 6 FCS National Championships in FCS starting in 1985 running the Spread Triple Option, which really doesn't mean much to you.
When GSU moved to FBS our new head coach Fritz and staff switched to the Shotgun option. He did very well using the new system but left after his second year at GSU.

"IF as our new head coach has stated " Our 2019 Offense is much more advanced than in 2018" and our defense has gotten better than the worse thing LSU could do is underestimate a GSU team. You know like Florida and #5 Georgia did.!

I’ve had many a beer with GSU grads and all are UGA fans first and foremost and not one thinks GSU has a chance against LSU.

I respect that those guys are working their asses off to be the best they can be. It appears that they are well coached.
Again, thanks for bringing this info. I obviously expect LSU to win this. But, I have no issue appreciating the work and performance of GSU.

I can't speak for everybody else, but I think that most LSU fans have at least a basic knowledge of who Georgia Southern is and has been recently.
Fritz and Monken are familiar names as well.

They run the same offense that Paul Johnson ran at Georgia Tech.
Just as long as LSU comes out of that healthy is a big time win.
Especially with Chiasson.
Playing them right before Texas isn't a great idea truthfully because they are very physical at the LOS.
