Yes, that PAC12 defense that made LSU look like a JR varsity last year with Max Johnson throwing balls over his head.

At the same time they couldn't cover Boutte especially in man.

He had No WR's or TE's to throw to last year at ASU.

Idiots don't understand this. They also don't understand what the presence of a receiver like Boutte does in terms of the oppositions coverages or the positive effect it has across the board with other receivers.

I have said the same thing over and over again.

LSU's WR room in 2022 from 1 to 7 are all better than what ASU had last year as their #1 WR.

Shhh.....let me believe what they want to.

Yes, I agree. Daniels is the best option based on experience against legitimate competition.

Agreed. I'm anxious to see how much he's improved and what he can do in Kelly & Denbrock's system. If he happens to falter, we have another capable QB to take the reins of the offense.

Pump the brakes. Could just as easily be Jordan Jefferson 2.0.

I picked his stats from the last season he played which was last year.

Cherry picking…..

So when you put him up against SEC defenses he suddenly is going to be good.

Joe Burrow threw 16 TDS to 5 Int in 2018. Sometimes you need a competent OC.

As a freshmen Daniels threw 17 TDS to 2 Int.

Coaching matters we’ve seen that the past 2 years.

His OL was horrible, he got sacked 50 plus times.

LSU was 6-7 last season with a poor recruiting class, according to LSU standards. He is taking over a program with back to back losing seasons.

Look at his first year stats as a True freshman in 2019,

That was 3 years ago. How did he do during last season in which he was the starter for every game for Arizona State? Not so good.

Max Johnson stats last year: 27 TD 6 Int, 6-6 record
Jayden Daniel’s stats last year: 10 TD 10 Int, 8-5 record

Daniel’s stats last season at Arizona St vs PAC 12 defenses TD’s= 10 Int’s= 10 Is that what we’re doing? We’re cherry picking? Well, we’ve come to the conclusion that last year he was mediocre. That’s what the numbers say, correct? We are obviously not taking ANY consideration of the talent around him. Football is by no means a team sport. So that’s covered… Now do his previous 2 years…one him being a true freshman…

It’s not cherry picking, it’s his complete junior year and the most recent indication of his development. Looking at his freshman year makes no sense, it’s like ignoring LSU’s last two seasons and pretending this season is a continuation of 2019.

Max put up much better stats vs SEC defenses without Boutte. And Daniels was on a winning team while Max was on a team with a losing record.

Burrow had bad games as a junior. Yall act like 19, 20 year old kids dont improve dramatically from year to year. Especially at the qb position.

A program that possibly has the best receiver in the nation along with several other talented receivers as well as possibly the nation's best defensive line.

Please list the talent he had around him receiver? We all will wait for your reply.

Johnson's TD amount was a credit to talent he had around him last season at receiver.

By all accounts he is moving the ball against our defense in practice. There is about a 95 percent chance he will play meaningful snaps for us this year. So might as well hop off of the hate train.

Daniels passes for 85 yards and his team puts up 38 points in a win.
Daniels passed for 90 yards and his teams puts up 35 points in a win.

Looks like Arizona St won several games by scoring a lot last year despite Daniel’s poor play at the quarterback position.

It’s cherry picking when you’re throwing a wet blanket on a QB for one season all the while ignoring his first two go rounds.

You’re criticizing the only below average year he’s had while ignoring the TWO successful years he’s had and concluding/insinuating that he’s just not good enough.
