Gary is a good guy...and tries his best.

I tend to agree but Gary took some unnecessary shots at Les this summer. Les was a guy who gave him the opportunity to find somewhere else and never publicly said anything negative about him yet the first chance he gets he calls Les out. Id feel a lot worse for the guy if I didnt know how much he got paid+he hadnt shown his arse to the reporters this summer.

Meh.

I don't necessarily think people who are unaccountable and consistently blame others are "good" people.

Dude had plenty of time to turn the offense around as well. I mean christ, Les stuck with him after 09 and the offense got even worse. Then Les let him find a new job, Gary takes shots at Les. Screw Gary Crowton. Guys responsible for setting our offense back 80 years.

Hey, at least he called a pretty good 2008 BCS NC game.

He really did, and I will always remember that. However, I feel certain he was responsible for many of the bad moments in Les' tenure. Les just never threw him under the bus.

So , now we know 2 more things about the Anderson Ellerson show:
1) Crowton has been identified as the fall guy for Randy
2) This buys the 2 stooges ANOTHER year to ply their craft because next years debacle will be blamed on a new OC and new system

This turtle doesn't know Crowton yet.

Poor guy.

In 2007, Gary did a great job with a good QB (FLYNN) VT and OSU games, LSU was unbeatable

with Freshman QB's we were awful..but that is to be expected with most freshman QB's..

The only thing Crowton said was "No, that wasn't my offense at LSU" when asked by a Maryland reporter.. "is LSU's offense your offense?"

and Miles said "that's correct, it wasn't Gary's offense, it's the LSU offense"...

No question Miles has his finger print on LSU's offense....

So I don't see how that is a shot at Miles as much as it's the truth...Should Crowton lied to the Maryland press?

What else did he say?

I am glad Crowton is gone, believe me...but I don't' think it's cool to laugh and cut people down regardless of situation.

I doubt Les is laughing...so if we respect how Miles handles his business, why don't we as fans take a page from the Hat's way of being "Class"

Flashback to 1st half of the UGA game, JJ, 5-13, 30 yards, if we dont have a great offensive line, TM7, and a stable of great RBs, we look identical to 08-09 seasons in that game

Just read through this thread and this bashing is quite pathetic. OK, he wasn't a good offensive coordinator here. He's moved on now so you'd think we would have, too. Instead y'all are laughing about him getting fired? He's a good guy and I wish him the best. Hopefully some of you get better judgment.

Les has made two obvious mistakes at LSU. First, CoDC's. Second, brought back Crowton for '10. Les was risking quite a bit staying with him longer than he should.

That great O line and stable of RBs were part of the problem in the first half against Georgia as well.

Good guy sure, but once he took those shots at Les this past season I think its funny he fell on his face.....again. You really want people to pity a guy who's still going to get paid around 1mil despite being terrible and will in all likelihood land another job paying him well above 6 figures? Boo hoo man.

Why doesn't Georgia hire him for some assistant coaching position & see if you feel the same then.

"Last week, Crowton was quoted by the Denver Post as saying that he “very much” wanted the Colorado State head coaching job. The Rams hired Alabama offensive coordinator Jim McElwain as their new coach Tuesday."---Washington Post

That's what did it. Disloyalty (and those ugly uniforms)
