Yesterday, Garth Brooks was on the midday show on ESPNU radio. I only caught bits and pieces of it but he is launching his college stadium tour soon. One of the first questions he was asked was "how cool is it that on seven Saturdays a year, over 90,000 people sing along with your song, "Callin Baton Rouge". Of course, he said it was unbelievably cool and is hoping for the opportunity to do it live. Said it would be a dream come true. He also said that he loves playing Louisiana because its the only place that "Friends in Low Places" in not the most anticipated song.

Anyway, seems Garth is all in on the idea. Gotta make that happen!

Calling Baton Rouge is an embarrassing song by itself, but not nearly as embarrassing as LSU blaring it during games.

My life is great. I'm embarrassed that the college football program I support chooses to blare at the beginning of each home game a cheesy and outdated country song by a has-been performer with no connection whatsoever to the city or the school.

Wonder if the "Bitch, I'm from Louisiana" rap group will be his opening act?

I was also against O being the HC at LSU. But you need to give the constant negativity a rest!

A cheesy 90's country song about a booty call from some woman in BR is supposed to instill in us some kind of school pride? I honestly don't get it. People like it so, whatever.

Bama fans singing Sweet Home Alabama is pretty lol-worthy too. Especially considering the song is satirical.
