2 of Nabers' catches could have been TDs if he didn't lose his footing or misjudge the pursuit.

what Nuss did with the game out of reach and most GA defensive starters out of the game is ridiculous

Why do y’all keep lying about this? Nuss came out in the 3rd and starting throwing darts all over their starters and had us back in the game if the defense could have put together just a couple stops. The JD fans just can’t accept the fact that Nuss played a much better half than JD ever has

Yeah I seem to recall him struggling early in that start last year. I initially thought it was a good idea to let him finish the season but changed my mind when Max was clearly playing at a higher level. We probably lose to A&M if Nuss started that game.

It was not enough to keep him in the Starter position and burn his RS.

This is a blatant lie. You can want JD without pissing in the wind with lies.

Throwing darts… lmao

Kid has a great arm, but he threw just as many bad passes as he did good ones.

LOL...Oh really?

So if our starter was a guy with 10 TD's and 10 INT's for last season, clearly that's a turnover machine, right?

JD5 had played 3 seasons before transferring here and had sucked in 2 of the 3. His best season was his 1st and he got worse year after year.

Of course, he came here and received some pretty good coaching that was all in on him being QB1. That makes a HUGE difference.

JD5 played well this season but don't think Nuss can't improve with more of the coaching focus being on him.

Funny how some fans have a hope that Daniels improves next year but can't seem to think improvement is possible with Nuss.

I almost want to see Nuss transfer and become a starter elsewhere just so some fans can really see how idiotic they are in thinking this kid can't flat out sling it in winning fashion.

Pretty impressive when given the chance. He has yet to start a game at LSU so he's still somewhat of an unknown quantity.

If Nuss wants to start, he should follow in the footsteps of a former starter:

1. Go to Fred’s.
2. Punch a marine.

Nuss has never been prepared as a starter, so we just don't know.

We don’t know this

Unless of course you attended spring camp and then practices beyond

It really makes me angry hearing about boutte “struggles”. The qb can’t get him the ball it’s infuriating asf that dude is up there with other LSU greats.

Nuss has been unjustly the target of potshots here since his first significant playing time, coming in relief of a totally ineffective Max Johnson in 2021 vs Arkansas.

Sometimes I feel the coaching staff reads The Rant and makes decisions based on the blather.

Did you watch LSU football last year? Max literally sucked, particularly the last 5 games. He was terrible against Ole Miss and Nuss came in late to turn a blowout into a more respectable final score. Max was brutal at Bama, going 7 for 22 in a game ripe for an upset. The next week vs Arkansas, Max played the first two LSU drives and did nothing. NOTHING. Nuss came in relief and played well, until that final ill-advised game-ending INT which was called in from upstairs.

All this praise of Max Johnson is as silly as all the scorn heaped upon Nussmeier.

the QB's will be evaluated and decisions will be made by the coaches.

if Nuss or Howard were to get the starting spot, would you think JD's was 'thrown' under the bus?
