I guess try to create motivation any way you can but no shite LSU is saving Skenes for Saturday. There’s no deeper meaning other than it would be idiotic to throw Skenes against Tulane.

Maybe Garrett should worry ab his own pitching
Oregon St. SP Jacob Kmatz out for the season

We didn’t throw him last week and it’s just been something that’s been gradually just wearing on him a little bit, so he’ll be down the remainder of the season,” Canham said.

All I heard was the guy guaranteeing a win against SHSU and loving the matchup with LSU.

Has OSU or sam Houston decided if they are throwing their ace Friday or saving for game 2?
Oregon St is down to one pitcher who has started regularly on the weekend and Sam Houston St is a strong offensive team. It wouldn’t make a lot of sense for them to hold back in that game.

Dude is a stud who always gives his all. What I mean by 'going Jordan' is a star like Paul just punishing an opponent for talking trash.

Bold strategy Cotton. Quotes like this always age well.
The question now is do they get beat by SH or do they get to face Skenes who doesn’t need extra motivation to begin with?

Let him look forward to facing Skenes. Skenes has a way of shutting people up real quick.

I like that kids attitude. But to be the man you have to beat the man. And this is what Skenes will tell this guy (assuming they play against each other)

How many 100+ fastballs have any of these teams seen all season ? Not many
I wouldn’t be calling out for a guy with that arm on 10 days rest, Skenes will be nasty in the post season

He didn't call anyone out. He basically said Skenes is a stud and he's excited to face someone like him

What?….. I mean what? That’s right,….they don’t sachet into town and play LSU and Paul Skenes first game. And we’re not saving Skenes for final game….at least I don’t think so.

like this kid. He is a ball player and sounds like he likes facing competition. When you are a competitor there is no reason to not want to face the best.
I 100% agree. He’s not down playing Skenes. He wants his shot at the champ. It could potentially get him drafted. If he goes down, he got beat by the best. It is what it is
