If we win tomorrow, do you think we'll have to do anything in the SEC tourney to host a regional?

We usually do pretty well in Hoover, but I'm just wondering.

I would think we'd have to do better than some of the 5 SEC teams ahead of us in RPI.

We are still on the outside looking in IMO, I doubt we get 5 SEC hosts unless all other nonconference potential hosts really shite the bed. We are gonna need to win tomorrow, and potentially win at least 2 in hoover.

Whoever said they would rather be the 4 seed instead of the 3, that's cool and all, and I get why. But perception wise with the committee, it would be much better if we were the 3.

Finishing 3rd in the West doesn't look great. Although State finished 16-14, 3rd in the West last year and hosted. Arkansas was 18-11 and didn't.

Florida and Ole Miss are hosting

We really don't have anything more on our resumes over South Carolina or Vanderbilt other than being a small fraction higher in the SEC standings. We have a better RPI plus a h-2-h sweep over State, but they are still ahead of us right now.

It's still an uphill battle to host. 4-8 vs the top 25 is a real problem.

It's all going to depend on if the committee gives the SEC 5 hosts. I could see them going either way.

Its a 3 team race for two hosting spots IMO. Vandy, South Carolina, and LSU. Vandy's RPI will prob get them a spot. So, at this point, its between us and south carolina. Hope Vandy can win tomorrow along with us. Then we need to stay in hoover at least as long as South Carolina.

Choup's Chop Shop paid the grand slam sponsorship fee, which means we wanted to be a weekend sponsor of a SEC sweep. 2 down, 1 to go. :sweep:

I've become partial to scotch.

Whatever happened to LSU opening a brewery and having brewing classes?

That's a good point TC, but wasn't Arky's RPI atrocious?
