A lot to work on obviously. Considering this is a brand new roster with a new coaching staff, I’ll take the dub.

A lot to be excited about with Miller, Hill, Williams and Hannibal.

Hannibal’s effort, speed and strength off the bench is going to be clutch this year.

KJ is going to be a walking double double that can bang down low with most bigs.

Juice’s vision and speed will only get better as he gets used to his new teammates. He’s going to be up there with the best of them in the SEC in terms of assists per game.

Last but not least, Miller, the one who we sorely missed last year is a damn sniper and played his arse off on defense. Can’t wait for this dude to get better as the year goes along.

Just like CBK, let’s let CMM continue to develop these young men and get our Tigers back to where they belong.

I think we struggled to find a rhythm in part to substitutions. Seemed like McMahon was trying to see what he had available.

Miller and Williams looked really good

Juice looks like an SEC point guard but struggles with his outside shooting

Hannibal will give great effort and energy off the bench

Wilkinson and Justice Williams looked noticeably bigger. Williams looked much improved from last year

I didn’t watch all the first half, but what I saw had Miller camped out in the corner on offense. Some possessions he did not move.
Looked much more active (and much more effective) in the second half.

Gonna need some time to gel that’s for sure. But we got the dub and don’t step up competition for a bit. Miller/Williams/Hill is gonna need to carry us until we get it together!

Needs to learn to be a little more physical, IMO. I think that comes as he gets a feel for this team and fully realizes he is bigger and stronger than many of the guys he's banging against.

ANd maybe I'm just imagining that

I thought Miller showed that the hyperbole about him last year was more right than not....to play as well as he did after a year not plying - he would have made a difference last year.

Gonna take a while for this team to find some cohesion. I'll reserve judgement for a while as they find their roles.

Expectations now are the NIT is reasonable and anything else is lagniappe, but lots of ball still to play.

This team will be a work in progress.
Clearly they had issues finding cohesion last night, but there was some good.

Biggest concern I saw was who will help KJ down low. Hopefully Reed struggles were just Freshman jitters.
I believe Fountain will help some though. Expected more activity from Coleman.

Not sure what this teams ceiling will be, but I believe as most have said that we won't know until Jan after they have played together more.

Miller looked good as did Hill. I also liked what I saw from Juice Williams and Hannibal.

Will be interesting once Ward plays as well to see how he helps.

Why didn’t Ward play and how do you think he could impact the game? Was very highly rated coming out of highs hool

nah I noticed too but wasn’t going to say anything since hes the OVC player of the year and it’s the first game. Could just be shaking off some rust.
It wasn’t efton Reid level, but yea he’s going to need to go up stronger with some of those put backs to get the and 1 against better competition. Their three forwards were 6-9 and 220+ though, so it’s not like they were bean poles.
