That really is the best option, it needs too many upgrades such that a complete tear down and rebuild is in order. Unfortunately the penny pinchers won’t allow it to happen.

A local brewery beer garden would be cool

They need to put a big-arse hill in center-field like they have at Ole Miss for the students to go and party at. Sell dollar beers and dollar hotdogs. They would make a killing

My mind is still blown to this day they went back with those metal bleachers on the rebuild.
If I remember correctly, they re-used the seating from the old box which is even more ridiculously cheap. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, though.

We need suites with bourbon street style balconies in left or right field. Get a raucous Mardi Gras environment going with beads, titties and all

Tear it down and start over.
The exterior of the stadium, players facilities, etc are top notch. They don’t need to start over to address some of the layout, chairbacks, aesthetics, fan amenities, and/or adding a berm everyone seems to be obsessed with having

You are correct. People don’t remember that even though the bleachers behind the left field wall are obviously the same ones when you look at them. They only did that for the bleachers out behind the left field wall. But it’s still a fricking joke that they moved cheap old bleachers from the Old Box to the New Box.
LSU claimed the people who sat in those bleachers behind left field asked LSU to do that. Sounds like LSU covering their arse to me. That’s where mikelbr and hch sit so we can blame them.

They pressure washed them and brought them from the old box. It's pathetic.

The grandstand is fine. everything outside out that probably needs to be redone. Personally, I would create a continuation of the chairbacks all the way down the line, then have whatever type of berm/GA seating that you want in the outfield. I'm sure some architect could draw something nice up.

Johnson hates the bullpens located in foul territory.
Relocating them will be the first thing we do.

I'm still waiting for fireworks out the Tabasco bottle for Home Runs and wins too lol.

This needed to be done years ago. I'd gladly pony up a one time fee to see that chairbacks are installed in my 2 seats in 103. Would not want to see a substantial yearly increase to season tickets though as concessions and such are already too expensive for what you get.
But realistically, the upper section and a covered extended concourse behind it would need to follow the next off season. No reason we should still not have a permanent batters eye instead of the tarps they've had out there

Remove the bullpens and use that extra foil territory space for something on each side for starters. Get the fans closer To the game so it’s louder

They did win us a super regional against Rice--sorry Rendon. Not worth the player risk though. Even freaking Wrigley moved the on field bullpens.

I totally get moving them in the name of player safety, but will surely miss sitting just above the home bullpen. Been there since the old Box and hate to see them move to where they will not be as visible/accessible to kids and fans. Not to mention a much easier area for visiting pitchers to be comfortable and not tiger-baited

Good catch, I edited to make it more clear as you posted. I'm stuck in pre-1999 terminology.

I would remove the bullpens on the field and put in right center.
I would pull the baseline seats in closer to the field and chair back all of them. using the same architecture as the existing grandstand, I would extending the cover down both lines.
No more suites here but create 2 club level seating areas above the seats on the 1st and 3rd baselines above the existing metal bleachers. Change the outfield fence to chain link and create new field level suites with accessible seats above. These areas would have propane setups for grills and stub outs so you could bring your own boiling rig/fryers/black pot cooking. In right field you have the Walkons home run party deck. Think of the deck at walkons on Nicholson, with the roll up doors and patio seating, but elevated above the wall and a large party deck, that anyone could access, and would be a general admission/SRO ticket
