Linehan likes to throw the ball to his Running backs.

1st season in St. Louis, Steven Jackson a back known for being a bruiser, racked up 80 receptions and 906 receiving yards.

Season 1 in Detroit both Reggie Bush and Joique Bell tallied 50 receptions and over 500 receiving yards.

The following season Bush, Bell and Theo Riddick all recorded at least 30 receptions and 250 receiving yards.

Last but not least, his first year in Dallas, Demarco Murray had a strong 57 receptions and over 400 yards.

Also added: Ezekiel Elliott, who had 77 receptions in 2018.

We have some amazing backs that are very versatile. It was obvious O wanted to utilize them heavily in the passing game and we did with Clyde. We saw how effective that was this year. With our downfield threats, it just adds more pressure on the defense to cover these freaks in one on ones. My prediction is Myles will have a hell of a year. I expect Curry to be more of the bruiser feature back but do not be surprised to see Davis-Price and Emery both rack up 40 receptions and maybe 300-400 yards a piece through the air.

I’m happy with this hire mostly because I’ve got faith that our coach knows what he’s doing w the talent we have

Good point. On top of the RB success, Stafford and Megatron had their best years with Linehan as OC. I'm excited about Ensminger and Linehan running the offense.

If check downs and Les Miles vanilla style offense is what you like you’ll love Linehan.

Great points.

The Tyler Tettleton hire will end up being the home run.

Boy some people are so clueless or just don’t get it or both. You people actually believe that we will still have Chase, Marshall, Gilbert, Palmer and the rest of these great WRs with a QB who is a known passer but we won’t pass the ball down field similar to last season? How?

Look Myles Brennen might have less yards and TD’s but that will likely be because our defense is being more aggressive with success, our STs may score more, our running game will be more explosive or a combination. It will not be because of a lack of effort.

I actually wouldn’t mind seeing more defensive scores, more sacks for field position, more STs scores combined with a more explosive run game along with a dangerous passing game to add. This aggressive style of offense isn’t going anywhere people. We might game plan more this year where as last year we knew we could just pass all over anyone and dare them to stop it. We may be more selective with it but we will remain aggressive in all facets. GT

Richard Dixon had a great interview with Hester the other day when he talked about his time in Detroit with Linehan. Said he's a great teacher and explains things to his players on a way they can understand it. Said he's extremely excited for Myles' development under Linehan

And what is your football background? Just curious so I know how serious to take your opinion? You seem to know it all as it relates to coaching searches for PGC hires

People want to peg him as having been asked to leave Dallas after 2018....keep in mind, there was a HC there looking for every excuse under the Sun other than himself as to why the Boycows were not more successful

I think it’s a fantastic hire.

NFL OC to CFB Passing Game Coordinator.

You are correct that one thing Linehan has done really well is implement the screen game. Cregg/Moffit have really worked on getting our OL more fit and agile so they can get out and block in space and get to the next level.

I know there are concerns about how Linehan will mesh with the new LSU offense and I have some concerns as well, but he could actually add another element to our offense. He's overly qualified for the job and he has produced mixed results in the NFL so there are understandable questions, but I'll reserve judgement until I see what product we put on the field.

Steven Jackson had 90 catches for 806 receiving yards but your point still stands. Emery, TDP, and Curry finna eat. Could see Kevontre Bradford killing it with all his speed too.
