Why because people get upset with LSU losing and come here to voice a little frustration?

There’s a difference between voicing frustration and being an immature child. tRant is packed full of the latter.

Not from this guy. I have lofty hopes but very little expectations for this year.

That said, I'll be at every game and will stay til the end

Realistically FSU played everyone tough last year and were in every game they played, I expect it to be a lot closer than people think..

I mean, it's possible.

I find myself shaking my head in amazement at people predicting an instant return to dominance. We've been a .500 team the past 2 years, had under 40 scholarship players on the roster when Kelly was hired. The transfer portal helps, but that's better to supplement what you have, not build a program. We had next to nothing here.

Florida State was a proud program too, and they're a couple years into the rebuild. They might not have the better coach, but they could be further along than we are.

So many people think it's a matter of Kelly kicking the door open and "we're back!"; I HOPE that's the case, but I wouldn't put money on it yet.

We fire Brian Kelly and get the next guy. I believe we should make broad sweeping judgements off of one game.

The team goes back to work on Southern. If we lose to Southern, then I'll likely melt.

With a new HC (and coming off a losing season), no one should be melting if we lost to a power 5 school...

What if that Power 5 school has no where near the talent as us and they were 5-7 last year?

I won't be hollering to fire Brian Kelly, but I'll be pretty pissed. There is no reason we should lose this game.

Realistically!
If a bottom feeder ACC Team beats LSU, in the Superdome, then we have a lot of problems.
There is no was to rationalize that.
That is Jimbo bad.

Talent is great... but inexperienced talent and an unknown coaching commodity shouldn't breed confidence for anyone (especially in game 1).
So, I think the expectation (win or loss) should be competence on the sidelines. If we don't see that, I'll be upset. If we do, win or lose, the only thing any logical LSU fan can do is shrug their shoulders and hope we mature quickly.

FSU 27 LSU 17, how big of a meltdown do we have here scale 1-10?

I didn't want to be the Negatiger, but if you are not wearing blinders then you have to realize that this is a team that is going to start 7 players from the transfer portal, a center that has never played center, a secondary that hasn't proven itself yet, and a bunch of questions around the QB position. I have full confidence in the WR's and DL, and hopefully we can run a scheme on offense to just get the ball to the playmakers as quickly possible. This game is going to be close.
