Did FSU have have a single quality win last year?

LSU still trying to figure itself out and it took overtime.

Louisville and BC? Neither of which were over .500 in conference.

5-7 Miami? 5-7 GT?

Maybe Florida at 5-7?

Please don’t say 5-7 OU that lost to Texas 49-0

In the 3 games they played teams with a pulse they lost by 10, 2, and 8.

LSU with 5 returning OLineman ALONE makes this game drastically different from last year.

LSU 38
FSU 13

They beat a team that won the SEC West. I'd say that's a quality win. If you think this game will be a breeze you are living in fantasy land.

I do think Florida State is a contender…in the ACC, but nationally? I don’t see it. Talented squad but LSU is a legitimate contender, I’d argue the best in the West. 31-20, LSU.

Maason Smith wasn't on the field, Perkins only played ST, and it still took a blocked PAT for them to get the win.

They've got a great receiver room, Jordan Travis is solid, and they added Jaheim Bell... I think they're a much better team than they were last year but what we put on the field day 1 this year should be unrecognizable compared to what we put on the field day 1 last year.

I'd personally set the line at LSU -12.5

FSU is returning 87% of its production from last season. Jordan Travis is no slouch. Our special teams SHOULDN'T be worse than it was, but there's no proof yet. We have questions at RB and secondary. There's a reason Vegas has this at 2.5 and I would not be surprised if this game turns into a shootout.

Do not take FSU lightly.

If we play them second game of the season we win by two touchdowns last year

Our defense will have to step up. For all the concern about special teams (can we return a punt without fumbling?), the fact remains that we couldn't stop them from methodically going up and down the field on us time after time.

Why are you worried about last year’s team? They will be much better this year, as will LSU.

It will be a tough game.

While you're not technically wrong about having questions at those positions, the questions aren't if we'll be able to produce there. The question is: who will take the field first.

RB: Williams, Goodwin, Cain, Diggs, Emory (All backs with solid experience and Diggs rushed for 820 yards at ND last year)

S: Brooks, Burns, Ryan, Toviano

C: Welch, Alexander, Harris, Chestnut, Johnson

The question isn't about talent. It's just about the cohesiveness of the respective units. Obviously that can be a concern when you have such a big game in week 1 but I feel like the fanbase has drastically overblown the "issues" at those spots.

I agree the team that opened the season last year is night and day to what will trot out there in Orlando.

I could see us going out and making a statement (which would be ideal) but could very well be a close one as well. FSU did pick up a lot of guys in the portal.

I think we tend to forget that FSU played a game before they played us last season. I also think people underestimate how much of a difference that makes(regardless of competition played).
