i think the university just put out the news to those interested, i wouldnt say they're "affiliated" with it. it would be odd NOT to use mile's name, it explains exactly "who" this person is to those who may not know.

Not sure why there is such anger here.

The anger comes when people talk shite about a family who just lost a loved one. Total lack of class.

No one in here is talking shite. Settle down. The merit of the fund was debated.

I just think it's ridiculous to blame Les for this fund when we don't even know if he approved of it.

Being the outstanding guy he is, I'm sure he will be there for emotional and financial support for his nieces.

considering the age of the children and the tens of millions of dollars that thier uncle has made while coaching at LSU and other locations, this seems a bit odd

I just don't see it that way. I'm sure Les will be there for those girls in every fashion, but people want to help, and I'm sure someone was flooded with calls and emails asking where they could donate.

What do you want them to say? Your money is no good here. I'm sure if they don't need the money they will see that the funds are donated to another cause.

Not really Rouge is a good guy.

I know him pretty damn well and this is just Rouge being Rouge. He says what others and alot of ppl think, but don't have the balls to say.

You commented about how embarrased you'd be if you were Les Miles and let this happen.

Then you and rouge ran your mouths about how the children were adults and should be able to take care of themselves.

They just lost their mother for Christ sake.

5 people were shot over Easter. I guarantee their families could use the money more than the Miles' family.

start a thread and post a link to a fund for their families...

What's so hard to believe?

He knows people want to help, so let them. If you wanted to donate and he told you "no we got this" you might feel a little insulted.

What a bunch of TOTAL ASSHOLES in this thread. If you don't want to donate, DON'T DONATE, but STFU about others who do. Maybe the mother told Les she didn't want any of his money, we know NOTHING about her or her family. The girls mother just died, Damn, bunch of young punk assholes.

no, i wouldn't call me an a-hole dude. i just found it odd that les would let them set this up and make it public on their site. it's on thing if a separate group of boosters decided to do so but not the lsu athletic dept, especially since les could cover all necessary expenses to get both of the girls through college wit the quick stroke of a pen on his personal check book. i don't think i'm alone in feeling this way either.

How in the hell do you know what the mother wanted ? We don't know chit about why this was set up. instead of being a jerk, lets just wait and see what happens. How do you know Les LET this happen? Lets just STFU and let this play out.

As usual, idiots on the rants just being idiots.

no one is saying who set the fund up, lsu just happens to be publicizing it, probably out of public interest. easier to get the word out to those interested by posting a press release.
