people want options. it was probably suggested that a fund be set up, not the family's idea. if people want to contribute, let them contribute. if not, dont. simple.

Frankly, I see absolutely nothing wrong with this account being set up. It is a great gesture forvthosevof us who would like to and choose to participate. Certainly not worthy of the negativity on here.

I would recommend you donate some time at a Shelter or Food Bank and get a real definition of "time of need".

Its very easy to just not nonate.
However it doesn't make what rouge said any less true.
If it makes you feel good to give some money, by all means get after it.

Count me a prick cause the first thought I had was pretty much the same. In fact, if I was rich and this idea was floated to me I'd think how big a douche I'd look like to all the less fortunate people out there who see how easily I could manage this situation financially yet still ask for handouts.

I agree, Les seems like the kind of guy that would take care of his sister's kids considering he was the one that moved them here out of his own pocket ..
