Oh great. Everyone finally stopped bitching about Daniels so we’re dredging up bad QB memories to gripe about now.

Also thanks again to Coach Orgeron for breaking a 20+ year streak.

I completely forgot about that streak.

Max Johnson wasn’t a world beater, but he also wasn’t the reason that game was lost.

a great play by the QB

Well, no, it was a pitiful play by Mad Max, by it wasn't the worst play in the history of organized team football by a QB.

Does anyone remember Garo Yepremian's ill-fated "touchdown" pass in Super Bowl VII vs the Washington Redskins?

Nix was the difference in that game, imo.

If I remember correctly it was because the D couldn't tackle on multiple key plays.

This is still a problem today unfortunately.

I was at a day wedding in BFE TN for this game. Had to watch the second half from the hotel room since the local restaurant closed. Had the front desk called on my room a few times. Bo Nix was Mike Vick that game.

Bo Nix looked like the second coming of Johnny Manziel. I don’t that I’d ever seen more QB pressures that never got home.

Ed Orgeron, divorce, new girlfriends and sold the program down the river. Pretty much sums it up.

So weird how this play angers some of y’all. This was the peak of Mahomes making Sportscenter Top 10 highlights every week with his no-look passes, sometimes multiple per game. Risky / boneheaded by Max? Sure. But, haven’t y’all ever seen a throwaway before to avoid a sack? At worst it is that. It is years later and y’all still posting gifs??

Bo Nix played the game of his life and ran circles around in the backfield and then would deliver a perfect pass. It was so frustrating to see our defense not be able to tackle him.

Plus six or seven times we flushed Bo Nix and did not tackle him.

Mahomes isn't just chucking it behind him as he gets sacked, hoping for something to happen. To compare the two is asinine.

Yes, that's exactly what it was.

Yes, I've seen plenty of throwaways to avoid a sack. I've rarely seen a QB just haphazardly throw the ball backwards to avoid one. And I've never seen a QB do that and end the play with a positive result.

It was a shitty play, by a shitty QB. As long as Max Johnson is starting at QB, TAMU will be at a major offensive disadvantage.

Our defense let Bo Nix run for 80 yards

With a total of 230 yards if you count all the scrambling and tackle dodging behind the LOS
