never in a million years did i ever think that ND fans would be the most insecure bunch in the lot. good lord go flood your boards with the diarrhea.

you're happy with freeman.

most of us rationally are happy with the direction BK has taken this program from the dumps it was in.

for gods sake you're in the NC game and i've seen more ND logos than i care to ever see on an LSU board. you're seeking justification and it wont come from here. i hope you lose 75-1. not because of BK or MF, I've hated y'all since the 70's.

I wonder if gays being allowed to be priest swayed Freeman to become Catholic? Just wondering. Maybe his next stop can be BYU and become a Mormon.

Go away and stop being a troll. People like you are insufferable. You really spent all morning thinking this up and you really felt the need to come here to post this? How about delete your account. Fair?

Some of you have tried to diminish what Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame have done this year

You mean the same way ND fans have completely diminished anything Brian Kelly did well while at ND?

Marcus Freeman is a better fit at Notre Dame than was Brian Kelly. Brian Kelly is a better fit at LSU than he was at Notre Dame. Fair?

Marcus Freeman is coaching in a completely different landscape than BK did. NIL and the portal have helped ND immensely not just on their roster, but what it’s done to everyone else’s roster around the country. It’s created more parity than we’ve ever seen. Trying to pretend they coached under the same conditions is foolish. I’m pulling for Ohio State to smack the Irish in the natty so y’all will stfu about Freeman and Kelly.

Even if ND wins the title, if they win it this season and it's their only one and Kelly wins 3 with LSU then you would still have an argument that Kelly made the right move. That's why the argument is stupid. It's not over until Kelly retires. IMO, he will have won 0 at LSU and ND will still have won none by the time Kelly retires.

It was very smart of you to get this thread made when you did. I have a feeling after Monday your arse won't be found anywhere around this board.

Imagine coming to a fan site of the school who took your coach and posting all of that.

Brian Kelly singlehandedly pulled your program out of golden painted dog shite. Enjoy the rape on Monday

This may be the best post I’ve ever read on TD!
Colorful, direct, blunt as a brick and every word true!!

You could have waited till Monday, seen the result, and then posted. IF it's a loss, do you still stand by those words?
Like many have pointed out, the starting point for both coaches was not the same to even compare. If Freeman can sustain, good for y'all.
Not that you don't see this, half the fanbase is unhappy with BK here. IMO, he most likely will win a title while at LSU. He will at least do it for himself if not for anybody else.

I don’t think Freeman’s squeaky clean, mandatory mass, Boy Scout persona would translate to the NFL.

Except for not being able to win a season opener and getting out coached by Billy Napier.

Nobody here cares about ND. It’s become a legit obsession amongst your fanbase.

You’re playing for a national championship and worried about LSU and Kelly.

kind of hoping ND wins so these fricking leprechauns can leave us alone. Never saw a worse case of spousal abandonment syndrome. I’m so tired.

i would say congrats to Freeman on continuing what Kelly did and elevating it in certain ways, in his fashion.

he's proving to be a good one

BK has proven to provide a sense of stability at both programs, which is always a good thing.

next year, BK will have his best and likely his most cohesive team on both sides of the ball, so it's really a no excuses type of year.

Matt Moscona said it best on his show by playing a quote from Brady Quinn who said that BK leaving ND saying he needed to go somewhere he could compete for a championship pissed off the ND money people and admin and as a result they raised a ton of money for NIL and the university finally started work on the performance center and other upgrades so they could compeat.

ND is a different world after BK left.

I think Freeman's a good coach, but he took over a well run, top ten program, then had NIL dropped in his lap

Agree. Brady Quinn discussed in a podcast this week that BK pissed him off when he stated he needed to go to LSU to have all of the resources to win a NC. Brady said he called his lawyer afterward to setup a collective for ND's fans to start contributing to their football program. ND should thank BK for leaving and waking up their sorry fan base to spend a buck.
