At 6.0 and 205, if he play's like HB, he WILL be a monster.

I said after watching 5 minutes of film of him during his recruitment that he was the next Mathieu. That is exactly who he reminded me of. Super quick.

Mathieu had ball skills like I have never seen. But, their practice film is similar as far as the quickness and cutting ability and way they fly to the ball. What he does with his hands when he gets there, I don't know. That is what made Mathieu so special - he would break on the ball for an interception or punch the ball out at the moment that he arrived at the ball carrier in the perfect way. It was unreal. I have no idea if Adams can do that, but the "getting there" part is very similar to Mathieu.

I like Adams a lot, but I find it hard to believe that anyone will duplicate the production of Mathieu. His defensive intangibles were/are absolutely through the roof. I've never seen a player with the knack to make plays like him. Even when he was an established commodity that teams accounted for, he still found a way to impact the game. We win the 2012 national title with him on the team.

This, I was pissed when we lost Hootie and Speedy, but Adams and Chark are better players and better people.

No doubt, him and Kenny Young were the biggest loses. But Speedy isn't going to make it 3 years in College Station, no way.

I like players like this to be under the radar. This way, they can explode on the scene when they lay the boom on national tv.

Biggest losses- Kenny Young?

Tony brown
Cameron Robinson
Gerald Willis
Speedy Noil

Some even considered this class a failure ( idiots).
Could you imagine if we would've pulled 2 out of 4 in that group? Might've gone down as the best class in history.

However...we got deondre Clark instead of Willis...and Valentine at the last minute.

Still...

Cameron Robinson and Kenny Young were the two biggest IMO. Kenny was a huge need and the Top OT in the country is always a great get. Oh well, I appreciated how Kenny handled his recruitment.
