one advantage adams has is height and some weight.
he's "thicker" than tyrann was at LSU and just as quick/smooth.

Speaking of Ed Paris, how has he been doing? I haven't seen him get mentioned in a while.

but TM7 could get the ball in a way where im still not convinced he wasnt a wizard.

Its hard to describe. Reminds me of Gary Payton or some point guard with quick hands, not a football player. He tips the ball out of their hand, scoops the ball up on a bounce, and goes the other way without breaking stride.

Mike Detillier said the same thing. The kid is a freshman version of Eric Reid. Freak athlete.

It is weird he hasn't recieved much preseason love. Top 5 at his position, top 5 in the state of Texas, top 50 player in the nation, big spring game, and played a HUGE role in getting Adams to sign with us. I think he'll be our 3rd CB this season.

I feel this summer session has the coaches scratching their heads, wondering what to do with the abundance of talent assembled on the field

As long as we have a quarterback that can complete passes then we can contend for a NC

I think Cam knows what he's doing.

it's really sad that LSU has sucked for so long on offense that fans have already forgotten about the 2013's playcalling and offense

The offense was night and day different/better from 2012 to 2013... with the same skill position players.

what changed? Cam Cameron... the real fireworks start this year with cam's recruits in action. Just wait, it's going to be a fun ride

To me, this was the combination that made Mathieu so unique. He had instincts for playmaking and ball-hawking that were as good as anyone I've ever seen, but he combined it with a hand-eye coordination that would make guys like Pete Rose and Rafael Nadal jealous. It was like the instant the ball was within arm's length of him, his had a grip on it and was gone. I hardly ever recall him bobbling, batting or scrambling after the ball; he just reached out and plucked it. And if somebody else had the ball, he just reached out and popped it loose, and then plucked it out of the air. He was amazing.

If Adams has the playmaking/ball-hawking instincts (which reports here suggest he does), and even close to the hand-eye coordination, then with his size he will be a terror. Fingers crossed!

Very well. He is in the rotation at corner as a freshman, along with White, Robinson, Thomas, and Collins. He finished spring as Tre White's backup, but that was with Dwayne Thomas cross-training at safety.

With all this praise, does he win the other starting safety spot?

What does this mean? A freshmen version of Reid as a sophomore or junior? A freshmen version of Reid as a freshmen? That makes no sense. Maybe I'm dumb as frick though.

I think what Frank means is that Jamal and will be household name before its all said and done.

I been watching football for many years and never seen player like mathieu create the turnovers like the way he did it, PRO or College, he was once in lifetime situation, he was frick beast, nasty type of player and had alot of swagger.
All of the players feed off of that.

I compare Jamal more to Eric Reid very rangy can cover alot of ground, I am just glad we did fall for Hootie and BAMA BS TACTICS when we were going through the recruiting process.

I live near tuscaloosa and the bama freshmen are not getting any hype.they had the top class but no hype.i work w/4000 bama fans and all they talk about is Jacob Coker.this guy hasn't got the qb job yet.the few smart fans they have are not that excited about this year, worried is more like it.im one of a few tiger fans here.im telling you, after they lost to auburn.you'd think those guys sister left 'em.
