Matt Moscona had Tim Brando on a week ago, as well. He said much the same, especially about Coach Orgeron being on the hotseat this year.
He sort of said it was ridiculous of fans to put that pressure on him this year, but to wait until next year. But, IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, said that Joe Alleva may be in trouble before the coach.

He's done nothing to merit anyone believing in him succeeding. He has an entire history of failure and beating up on crappy teams like he did at USC and LSU as interims and with only 2 good wins in his entire coaching career (Louisville and Auburn last year).
Think about that. He also hired a coordinator who hasn't run a full offense in nearly 20 years on his own, and whose unit is the worst unit on the team during his entire tenure at LSU.
He has two WR coaches, his recruiting class was underwhelming ranking-wise in comparison to his predecessors, AND the schedule won't be a joke like last years.
O has to prove himself to others. In fact, his failure should require ANYONE to require him to prove he's not a failure. That is how this works.

Dark times?
One year removed from Co-SEC West champs = dark times?

First it has to start with primary source douches with no real information on 'The Rant', then it gets picked up by second level douches on 'the rant.' Then it gets picked up by media and analyst level douches who speak it as conjecture with secondary media and analyst picking up the narrative, then it makes it's way back to the rant once again, re-enforced by the media as the standard narrative. It's one big circle jerk that generally starts right on this board and ends up back here with posters like Mejoux and justice and 1999 sucking each other off

Brando hated miles and never said anything positive about LSU.
That's not accurate at all. He hated the Coach O hiring.

I love Brando. LSU should have hired him.

It’s good to see we like Tim Brando now after he called LSU fans racist for not supporting basketball. His reasoning was at basketball games people sit close to the players and you can tell they’re black so fans didn’t like going to the games. At football games you sit far away and the players have helmets on so you don’t know who they are. No joke.
He did say that...and he drops pearls like this all the time. He picked Dubose and Bama to win the NC in 2000, he picked Georgia Tech to beat LSU in the Peach Bowl in 2000 because he said Tech was better than LSU "at every position on the field". He loves himself first and foremost and he views fans of the sports he covers as ignorant rabble and that is born out in his uninformed commentary all the time.

For me Brando is really good at name dropping, second only to Pat O'Brien. Outside that IMHO he brings very little to the table in terms of insight or credibility.
Brando is an egomanical hack who actually knows very little about football. He's a basketball guy and not a very good one at that. He also took the opportunity after Buddy Diliberto's death to come on WWL and name-drop and talk about Tim Brando when he had actually been brought on to talk about Buddy.
To sum up, Brando has very little credibility and has no business talking about other media folks being irresponsible.

My opinion might be unpopular. He never deserved or earned the job in the first place. If he can earn it this year, then great, I’m on board. But many of you won’t admit he shouldn’t have been.
I surely hope I’m wrong And that the Tigers kick butt. But I have my doubts with him at the helm.

For normal, ordinary coaches, it is unfair to expect a lot this year. For great coaches, it's not. Do we want an ordinary coach or a great one?

Yeah, but he was 4-7 in his final season. THAT is the team Orgeron inherited along with 3 recruiting classes ranked 30-38. Cutcliffe was above average with a future NFL Hall of Famer at QB. Unfortunately for Cutcliffe left him with a starting QB that would eventually play RB and WR at Ole Miss and the NFL, another QB who became a tight end and another stiff with 2 D-1 offers who threw twice as many interceptions as TD's before quitting.
Ironically, what he posted was actually a false narrative.

It can not be understated how fricking dumb this is.
Even Saban was sick of the "sky is falling" defeatist that are part of our fan base. Sadly, he is gone, but the sky screamers remain. With modern journalist, a "source" or "fans are clamouring" or Tiger fans say" can be some frick nut on this board. How could you be so naive not to realize this?

Ur a fkin douche that will push your agenda no matter what. It wasn’t a complete rebuild but there were major holes hence the 8 fkin transfers LSU needed to put a competitive team on the field. So faaaak off moron

The narrative is still wrong on Alleva and O. The two coaches people really wanted that are coaching Texas schools were just not worth the asking price. They both also had considerable personal baggage. The fact that we missed on those two guys is a giant blessing in disguise. Winning in September could really shut alot of these people up at least momentarily.
Posted on 9/2/18 at 3:39 am to Rou Leed
Dont get me wrong. The coaches in Texas will probably have a bit of success eventually. But the fan base was wrong about wanting the guy at A&M. He really did himself in at FSU in alot of ways and let that whole program deteriorate. Neither of those coaches would have worked for LSU.
