But the game was close.

Who cares if the player's safety is compromised? This is the SEC, where certain teams play by certain rules while other teams must fend for themselves.

Had we called the appropriate penalties against UF, it would have been a blowout. We couldn't have that.

The thing that really irritates me is after forward progress is called the refs stand there and watch as the ball carrier gets willfully abused by a huge gang tackle. I don't care what team the ball carrier plays for this just willfull abuse.

Fournette was getting facemasked, hit late, and thrown down long after the whistle had blown all night long. Never once saw any laundry hit the deck.

Florida is full of thugs, no matter the coach. Fournette tore your team up. take the arse whipping and move on.

he grabbed the facemask, how you see anything else means you are blind.

A ref stared at this play and could have given UF a 5yd facemask and Fournette could have received targeting with ejection. Refs made mistakes last night but this is one play you should be thanking them for.

What year are we in? 5-yard facemask?

Targeting does not mean "hitting someone".

Show me a still picture of a hand on a facemask. I have yet to see one. I've watched the video 20 times.

Sorry, still don't see a facemask being grasped. I see a hand next to a helmet. In the third picture it looks like the hand is touching white. Might also be touching the side of the helmet. If that's what you call a facemask penalty...

So what do you think caused his head to turn like that?

To turn what? 2 degrees?

You can touch a helmet without grasping the facemask.

Also you can grab around the neck area and change the angle of someone's head.

No such thing as a 5 yard facemask

No, he couldn't have. Educate yourself:

ARTICLE 3. No player shall target and make forcible contact against an
opponent with the crown (top) of his helmet. When in question, it is a foul.

Regardless, I think there is a good reason that facemask penalties aren't subject to this kind of review analysis. The referee should clearly see a hand grabbing a facemask, not read between the lines and suggest that maybe the head was turned as a result of the facemask (even though you can't quite see that the facemask even occurred) by looking frame by frame.
