So he claims he doesn’t want to get into it?
Then why not come out for the anthem?
Why doesn’t he want to get into it?

Doesn’t make sense

He probably has no idea what he’s doing that for. Only trying to fit in with the “democrat” crowd for a badge of honor.

Makes perfect sense. He just doesn't want to be involved in the whole controversy. Doesn't want to decide what to do when some are kneeling and some aren't.

It really doesn’t make sense to me.

By not coming out, you’re protesting. If you’re protesting but not willing to discuss you’re beliefs, then what the hell are you doing?

Because he didn’t/doesnt have to and/or didn’t/doesn’t want to? He literally just sat in a room and didn’t say anything and you people still bitch. Amazing

So?

Better than coming out on the field and disrespecting.

The fact he sat there and did nothing, means nothing. he purposefully made the decision not to stand for the anthem with 98% of his team.

Obviously he doesn’t want to stand for our anthem.

Well, isn’t that what the NFL has allowed?

I really understand Freedom of Speech. This is a no win for everyone. Nobody really knows what is being protested, and whatever it is.......it’s not going to be rectified at a sporting event. I honestly believe it has now morphed into an anti Trump agenda for some of these guys. If so, it really takes away from the real issue.
A leader is needed. Someone who can represent these guys off the field, yet have the message understood. Marshawn Lynch sitting on the bench during the anthem ain’t helping any cause.

So you’re boy is trying to play both sides right?

Why don’t you call it for what it is instead of trying to support him only cause he played at LSU?

Smart. He's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. Just avoid it all so no one can criticize...

yet they will anyway.

He’s following the rules prescribed by his employer. You threw a hissy fit when he and others kneeled. Then his employer said he could either stay in the locker room or he could go out and stand for the anthem. So he’s choosing the former. His quote tells me that he feels a certain way but doesn’t feel like making a huge fuss over it. I’m not sure why that’s so hard for you to grasp. This is about the most passive and harmless way I could possibly imagine for someone to protest but of course people still have a problem with it. Phony, self-righteous patriotism is so fricking pathetic
