His season is over
Lacouture had his season ended with a torn up knee, had no reason to stick around, but he did to help mentor and teach the younger defensive linemen.

It isn't unheard of to put selfish needs or desires aside for others.

A lot of fans have invested emotions into these players, it isn't far fetched to think they would like to see the finishing of the season being important to him. I would advise my son to stick with his team. He is a damn hero to some of the players on the team as well, would be nice of him to cap off his career with a fun week in Orlando. \

oh well.

seriously we're not even having this question if not for how reckless and irresponsible Les was with the handling of this injury. The head trainer gave an excellent interview on the morning show a few weeks back regarding his injury that anyone who's questioned his toughness or willingness to play through it would and should feel like an idiot.

the risk isn't worth the reward. I'm sorry but you're either lying or you give really poor advice if you think LF should play in this meaningless exhibition game. If he can't perform up to snuff at these upcoming workout you're talking about costing himself millions of dollars.

Good for him. If he can't play in the bowl game might as well start making money. He can still go to the bowl game of he wants to.

It's the principle of the matter regardless of the event. He's not there with his team to support them not once, but twice to end his career at LSU.

How is he not supporting his team?

Completely checked out.

Are you insinuating that he should put off signing with an agent so he can stand on a sideline to watch a football game in a couple of weeks?

Surely, you aren't.

I'm sure his teammates will hate him for not going to some shitty bowl game

I talked about this in another thread. You and I and everyone knows darn well how his team feels about him. But we as fans, who don't REALLY know what these guys go through and aren't connected to LF in any way act like we know way more than everyone else. It's odd.

and I'm saying LF was put in this position because of someone acting in their own self interests, why shouldn't he?

Apparently, you picked up on that a bit quicker than some others.

How anyone thinks anything of this is just strange to me.

But he should wait 2 extra weeks to sign so he can sit on the sideline at the bowl game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I'm hilarious for wanting Leonard to act like he gives a frick about this team at the end of a tough season?

You're hilarious for thinking LF doesn't give a frick about this team.

LF cares about the LSU Football team probably more than every poster on this board combined, and it's LOL funny that you think he doesn't seem to care.

So you just disagree with me therefore I'm wrong, correct?

Oh and I'm sure he cares about this team, but he also cares about himself more at the moment. That's fine but I just respectfully disagree with the timing of it

Why can't he stand on the sideline at the game as a spectator? What am I missing? I've done it at NCAA football games. Why can't he? All O needs to do is get him a Sideline pass.

First off, it is cliché to say that the games are meaningless...they are not, they still are included in your record, they still get coaches hired and fired, they still give players a chance to earn time going into the Spring and Fall camps.

To clarify, I am not saying they are SEC games, or otherwise, but they are not void of meaning.

And I never said he should suit up, I agree with you, Les running a crippled Fournette may be the worst decision I have ever seen him make and likely cost him his job. Run Guice against Auburn and we win and Les holds on a bit longer.

Why not? What possible rule would it break? The school can buy a ticket and give a sideline pass to any professional athlete they want to.
