It's the principle of the matter regardless of the event. He's not there with his team to support them not once, but twice to end his career at LSU.
Let's throw the banquet out of the conversation. You think it's cool for him to jump the gun on an agent before the season is over? If it doesn't bother you, that's fine, but it reeks to me

other players have missed/skipped the banquet in previous years and other skipped this year injured players routinely do not travel with the team if there is 0% chance of them playing
