Pretty good chance for him to make the majors this year.

Honestly shocked by this considering our catching woes that year if I’m remembering correctly

He was playing hurt a lot in his only season here. But he’s a very good hitter, and very good defender and nearly all aspects (framing, blocking, handling pitchers). He’s below average at throwing out runners though.

Cardinals released him in the offseason and he didn’t sign with anyone else. They lowered the number of spots available for minor leaguers, which had a direct effect on MILB veterans looking for jobs.

Anybody have any news on Tre Morgan? Guess he will start at Tampa’s A ball team?

If you win it, they will come.

I love collegiate baseball.

He could be destined for Mexico if he wants to play bad enough.

I didn’t realize he was released. From what I saw he was in triple A and was playing pretty well. Surprised he hasn’t been picked up.

He was pretty bad in AAA last season. What kind of sent his career sideways though was getting called up by the Cardinals in 2022 as an injury replacement. Once you get put on a 40 man roster and are unable to stay up in the show, you become the first player on the chopping block for an organization.

He talked about it in detail on an interview with Mikie Mahtook last year.
