Hyperbole.

Perpetuating alarmist gossip on this site only hurts the university, and doesn't serve any search for the truth.

This. I remember when everything was going down at Penn State. How can any sane adult know predators are hurting kids/students and not do something about it. Every single fricker that knew and did nothing should, at a minimum, lose their job.

Sure

I guess I should say:

"I dont know how anyone in the LSU admin of any meaningful rank and file that was here in 2017 survives this"

I would expect pretty much every major head still left to get the axe

For as good of a guy and Tiger Verge has been, he needs to be fired by the end of the week. Massive frick up on his end. No idea what the hell he was thinking. Plus I mean, covering up for a kid who couldn’t see the field whose father had already buried the basketball program...

After reading his statement, it seems to me that he let himself establish a personal relationship with Davis and let that cloud his judgement. I don't know how many players he has reached out to over the years but I don't think it's his place to do that. He has to be objective in his position. I can't see how he can keep his job unless he is more connected than it appears. I think that Coach O is gonna get swept up in this. The press would love to bring him down.

So I have two daughters. And I can’t imagine this happening to either one. But I would have no problem asking “after he did this the first time why did you go back the second time and why did you allow him in your apartment for a third time”?

Has she answered those questions?

Did any of these girls go to the police with their accusations?

If not, why not?

Do you ask this about the victims of Priests?

It is not an exaggeration to say LSU will have to follow Baylor’s process of dealing with this. Firings, overhaul in administration, significant protocol changes and a new trustworthy President that is very active on campus.

The individuals will be dealt with in court. Several of the accused at Baylor turned out to be not guilty so each person will get due process.

My comment is about the girl. Someone seeking justice from being the victim of sexual assault shouldn't have that type of photo front and center for the world to see.

Beaten woman syndrome

And what makes this so bad, the father was pleading to lsu officials and the sells to stop it, to do something. He was flying in and out of a foreign country, and nothing. Davis remained at LSU.....

Were the tennis coaches told to act the way they did or are they just horrible people? I assume it would be out of the ordinary to treat one of their own players that way but I don’t know anything about them.

Prolly a bit of both. Everyone knows that $$$ is king and there is no women’s tennis without football and Title IX.

So if a football player makes an accusation I’m sure there is some hesitation but yes IF true they aren’t stand up good people.

Well I mean I do think there's a bit of a difference in 9 year old kids and a college student.

I also dont understand why the tennis player covered up for Davis on several occasions but that doesnt change my opinion that Davis and anyone who swept this under the rug is a POS.

He beat the hell out of her once and was arrested because a witness called the cops

When he was arrested and the cops came, Lewis says he didnt do anything. Luckily, the witness had a video of him beating her so the cops still arrested him. Then, the next day, Davis mother called the news out to the house and paraded lewis around while she looked like a whipped puppy saying "no bruises, they were just horsing around"

I dont think yall realize how shattered beaten women are. They are like slaves, they protect their abusers

This statement is as callous as I'm willing to get on this: But why was Drake fricking Davis worth all of this effort?

Fair point. Although I question why the Sells would tell police that they didn’t learn of the abuse until April 2018 if others in the athletic department had already been made aware in 2017. Seems like that would be easy for the police to disprove if they had actually reported the abuse internally. Also, I think to a large degree it would get the Sells off the hook for covering it up it that were the case.
