I always was high on him, as I felt he kept us in the hunt, but I'm now ready for a change. I want to win a national title at least once every 10 years. I no longer have faith in Mainieri to get that done. There aren't a lot of options out there, but I'd say we need to look at the head guys at Louisville and Texas Tech.

Ryan Theriot is literally the only one who wants Mainieri gone and has never said it publicly. We all know he is against Mainieri but has never actually come out and said it. Everyone else loves Mainieri including the greatest college baseball coach ever, Skip Bertman

What a load of BS this is. Yeah and Skip hired him. Doesn’t want to be remembered as the AD who recommended two shitty baseball coaches. He’s hoping PM can turn it around.

Do you really think there weren't a lot of players who hated Bertman? Or Saban? Or Les Miles or Bear Bryant? Every single coach has been hated by former players who thought they deserved more playing time or more credit. Every single coach. Every one.

Lol ok. I guarantee you they have forgotten more about baseball than the idiots that spew out "you just dont know baseball" whenever anyone is critical of the way this LSU team played this season, was mismanaged by the coaching staff, and how the underperformed so many times. Maybe, just maybe, the idiots that say that crap are overly protective of mainieri for some reason, and are in denial about the state this program. Theyre the ones that don't know baseball and use that comeback when they have nothing to back their stupid biased opunions." Look, I am as big of an LSU fan as anyone, but im also a realist. This program is heading in the wrong direction, and a lot of the shortcomings on the field that continued to haunt us this season...even up until the last game vs fsu, a good coach would have had corrected immediately. This team was poorly coached, and it shows the most on the fundamentals. This team was not fundamentally sound. If it was baserunning one game, it would be pitching the next. If the hitting was shitry one game, it would be fielding the next. We just weren't a good team all the way around and it's truly a uprising that they made it to the supers. We would have gotten embarrassed in Omaha for sure. The decline will be even more evident next season, just mark my words and bookmark this shite bc it's happening. Mainieri will get one more season next year, and it will be glaringly obvious that it's time to clean house and get a new coach. I hope I'm wrong bc I am an LSU fan and no matter who the coach is I want them to win every fricking ga me they play...I just don't see it going well for mainieri and the 2020 LSU fighting tiger baseball team. Anyway, Geaux mothafrickin' Tigers!!!

Skip has heaped praise after praise on CPM and he's done that consistently. No one in the LSU Community has been more pro-Maineiri than Skip Bertman.
