Glad this was O's plan all along to fill in the recruiting class with elite Stanford grad transfers over inexperience like Surtain and Goodrich.

Why? If you are going to take a mediocre talent/skill player for depth and waste a scholarship counter when he can only be here for one year max, you could just find another younger transfer that gives you two or more years.

This is exactly the epitome of why people worried about O. His management is horrid and extremely short-sighted.

Bc LSU has 8 seniors this year. Despite all of the talk on here, there was no way that LSU was going to sign 27 in 2019.

LSU does not want the attrition that they had last offseason. That's the only way they sign even 25. It's bad for player development.

Does he count against the numbers you can sign in 2019?

He had a solid offer list coming our of high school. ND, GT, OSU, and a bunch of SEC schools.

Obviously it would have been better if Special Ed hadn’t managed to frick DBU, but I’d take a grad transfer over a walk on. He’d be a great get just because the secondary is a couple injuries from being totally fricked.

To be fair it was crap in Les's last couple of years too.

Keep tryin' Cheerios.

2015- 76.5%, 98%
2016- 73.3%, 95.3%
Miles career FG avg 76.6% would put LSU in low 40s avg nat rank over that time period.

2017- 59.3%, 93%
2017- #110FG%, #111 PAT%

Sad we are at this point due to O blundering the cb position during this recruiting cycle. The depth is welcomed

Lol, O fanboys downvoting you to hell because you are 100% right. We have to convert WRs, safeties, and get backup grad transfers to be depth for us at CB because we thought we'd put all our eggs into Surtain, and Surtain alone.

Why do people come to this board who don't want LSU to win games?

Can you help me out Solo Cam?

I can. these people you refer to are not interested in dealing with issues on the team they are only interested in what has happened in the past (that they obviously don't like). whether one likes it or not, we are short on DB depth and signing this guy will help in that area. it's that simple. when one has a problem there are two reactions...

1-work to solve the problem and take action to do so
2-sit around and bitch about it and blame others

who do you want on your team?

Too many act like Goodrich is as good as Surtain. They'll recruit some guys in the 2019 class who are as good as Goodrich.

Glad they’re addressing this need. Still can’t get over that recruit screwing us.

And last year’s top recruit leaving because he wouldn’t start as a freshman.

Older kid with big conference field experience that can play if the injury bug hits, and probably is a solid young man.

We went from DBU to being short in numbers at CB because we can't seem to keep any player after their Junior year. It has become a real problem with depth. It is exactly what happened to the D line which has now been restocked but the CB position has now undergone the same thing.

With the way kids can jump to the NFL now the recruiting limit of 25 should be raised to 30 per season because depth issues are becoming a serious problem.

Not a Cheerio. Yes we could at least kick PAT back then. But you said special teams and over all we were bad at special teams. That's why everybody cheered when Orgeron fired Peveto, remember?

special teams are a lot more than kicking FG's and PAT's. yes, our kickers disintegrated last year. bu Peveto's problems were much, much worse. we couldn't cover kickoffs or punts worth a damn and teams were amassing a LOT of "hidden yards" due to that. O is addressing the kicking game (like he did with the punting game).
