Used to watch him play against my Acadiana high school rams ,
I went to LHS and I skipped watching our game to go watch the AHS/CHS game Faulk’s junior year. I think SSA was there or something

Don’t leave Terry Robiske off the list

If he would have kept his junior in his pants then maybe. What a waste.

Dalton Hillard
He was a good as any.
Its difficult to judge players from different generations but Hilliard was my all time favorite.

99% of the people on here have no clue about Billy Cannon. He played both ways in college. He was an All Pro at two different positions (The only player to have done that). He brought LSU to national prominence. Kevin Faulk was great no doubt but there are others who were right there with him such as Charles Alexander, Dalton Hilliard and Leonard Fournette

One Bad Arse "LSU Tiger"!

Harvey Williams was also a tremendous RB.

For a game or two he mighta been.

Yeah, he is the best rb in lsu history. I still remember his game vs houston where he basically won the game all by himself. That is one of the first games and performances related to lsu football that I really vividly remember. That was an awesome performance.

I was definitely sick of Les by the time he left, but man sometimes I miss that old school power run game. I wish it was something you could just turn on and pound people at will.

The best in the league to never achieve Cecil Collins

One of my favorite stories comes from Faulk’s freshman year. I don’t remember the exact details, but basically Faulk takes a pitch out of the backfield, beats the DE and either the RB coach or Morris Watts (OC) yells TD on the sideline and Faulk still has something like 40 yrds to go. Dinardo hears him and says “No way, the defense still has the angle.” Anyway, Faulk outruns the angle and scores!

How in the blue frick is his KOR TD vs Notre Dame not on this highlight reel? Dick Enberg was spellbound before during and after.
LSU never should have lost that game. Infuriates me to this day.

He is one of the best rb in LSU, greatest is another story:
Steve Van Buren
Jimmy Taylor
Alvin Dark
Charles Alexander
Dalton Hilliard
These are the better ones before 1990
Clarence Smith, and Martin Lally (before he got hurt)
pre 1910
There is the great one from around 1914
In the 1930's there is another one.

I stand by my opinion. We’ve had great RB’s for a hundred years, but Faulk out ran them all.
It’ll always be met with a few debates, but combining statistically & Athleticism, all around, he’s the best. That’s what makes sports debating fun though.

I actually think it was Cecil Collins.
How can you actually call that pathetic individual great in any way shape or form. Greatest is not a term given to anyone that had a career that lasted 4 weeks.

When you account for longevity, versatility, pro career etc...It is tough Not to pick Kevin Faulk. This guy has meant so much to LSU, and he is still contributing!

Kevin Faulk never made All American at rb at LSU.
He made All American as a returner his last season at LSU.
