Hey, mighty Joe Young, do you remember Billy Cannon?

Not saying he was better than Faulk, but Dalton Hillard was better than some of the other names I've read in this thread. Great college RB.

I was too young to remember Dalton at LSU, but what I’ve seen in tape he was pretty great. I did watch his later career with the Saints.

Pats fans up here have the same reverence for him as you do in Tiger Nation.

I actually think it was Cecil Collins.

Cecil had one good game and one great game. If you just use a two game sample size there are a lot of LSU players that had better careers than Cecil.

Some of those camera angles made him look like he was running 50 mph.

To say Cecil Collins was better than Faulk is ignorant and disrespectful. It’s like saying Matt Flynn was better than Aaron Rodgers because he threw for 480 and 6 tds one game.

Cecil had a couple of great moments but what Faulk did was legendary and that doesn’t even touch the subject of their character.

Great Tiger. Great all-around player.
Not the best running back in LSU history, in my opinion.

There is no clear cut best RB in LSU history. Faulk, Cannon, Hilliard, Alexander, Fournette are all very good.

Leonard Fournette is the greatest RB ever at LSU

How in the blue frick is his KOR TD vs Notre Dame not on this highlight reel? Dick Enberg was spellbound before during and after.

ETA: LINK

The ultimate answer. The ULTIMATE MF answer after a TO. He was calling his shot before they kicked it. Enberg saw it, doubted at the 50, and then hit us with this trademark “OHHH MYYYY.”

Faulk was fundamentally the most solid RB at LSU ever, with the exception of transitioning the football when running. Constantly carried the ball on the wrong side.

But most football players had better fundamentals in those days.

Those Patriots uniforms looked so good. Why they wear their current crap w/ that cheesy decal on the helmet is beyond me.
