Sat on the east sideline for the Auburn game in 2015... The 2:30 kickoff in mid-September and sun in my face the entire game made for an especially brutal gameday experience.

ETA: just looked up the weather history for that day and it was low-to-mid 90s for the entire game

What a joke our fan base is. The Swamp is packed with temps in the 90s all the time. We don’t deserve success

That 2005 Tennessee game on Monday night. There was no Sun but the humidity more than made up for it.

That 10am start time vs App State in 2008 was oddly hot.

Who said this?

Average hi/lo temps on October 8th is 83/60.

Bringing hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen! Excited to see a game there, regardless of kick time!

on the east side of Tiger Stadium at 11am for Tennessee

I was at the game 17 years ago today - on the East side - temp must have be enclose to 100deg. never been so hot in my life - Had my daughter with me - she was about to pass out.

We left at halftime to escape the heat (my wife was at home and we thought she may be having trouble also - this was during the recovery from Hurricane Rita - electricity was out when we left home.)

Listened to that miserable 2nd half all the way home - got there about when the game was over - wife greeted us with = "well at least we WON!!!!" (she had turned it off at halftime)

AND - she said that we had not been gone more that half an hour when the electricity was restored (our house was close to a hospital)

All in all a miserable but memorable weekend - We visited our daughter just yesterday - I wore the T-shirt we got that day.

Players play in it for 4 hours
—With cooling fans blowing on them, powerade, and trainers checking on their health. And they are in their early 20s

Wide brimmed straw hat with good ventilation will be your friend.

Starts a thread to show off his seats.

Doesn’t realize he’ll be baking like everyone else.

I love this place.

game being at 11am is an absolute travesty

you can thank CBS. They would rather double-head two blowouts:

Auburn/UGA @ 2:30 for reasons idfk & Bama/A&M @ 7:00 because Saban and Jimbo were pissy at each other over the summer.

They passed up on Saturday Night in Death Valley where a Top 10 team is coming in for two games nobody is gonna watch passed the 1st Qtr.

and surprisingly the conference fought for this game to be later in the day …

Yes, it’s going to be hot. Best advice: hat, sunscreen, light towel to cover legs.
