Where was this ever stated as fact?

Based on reports today and yday he’s starting to Separate a bit. McMillan fighting hard though. Lowell seems to have cleaned up his delivery and footwork some. I am curious how he runs the offense this Saturday

This is what you can expect when they announce the starting QB "Joe Burrow will be our starting QB, it was a close and all the other guys worked really hard, but at the end of the day we felt Burrow will give us the best opportunities to win games, as of now".

As long as Burrow doesn't get hurt, there really isn't a point to follow the QB "race".

If this is an attempt at calling LSU fans racist, you failed miserably. We loved watching good black QB's, for example JaMarcus Russell. We do not like any terrible QB's regardless of color. Problem is, most are dual threats, and until now, we have ran a pro style offense. Square peg, round hole sort of situation.

And all have been bad Harris, Jennings, Jefferson, and etc.

One could also argue that we only love transfer QB's, but that doesn't go with the common agenda of race baiting.

I don't think you can speak for the whole fan base because I have been in tiger stadium, with a black QB starting and have heard quite a few racist remarks.. "get that _________ out of there" among other comments.

It likely happens everywhere, but I am just being 100% honest. Even in 2018, there are still people who prefers their QB to be white.

sure, and there are also some people who think they've been abducted by aliens.

I'd guess the vast, vast majority of LSU fans don't care if our QB is black, white, green, or blue. Just put the best guy on the field to help us win.

Maybe not the whole damn stadium, but I bet 99+% of them. Just because people are white doesn't make them racist. There are extremists and ignorant people on both sides, but those are less than 1% of the population.

I have 7 season tickets and I have never heard someone say that. I have however heard, "he couldn't hit the broadside of a barn" and stuff like that, but it was also a fact at the time.

He is not going to be the starter, you just as well deal with the fact that he’s going to play a limited role in the offense unless something tragic happens to the first two !

I have been hopeful about McMillan since he got here. No way should the no talent Brandon Harris ever have been in front of McMillan, nor ANY qb while at LSU.

Especially maybe the best qb at LSU since Tommy Hodson, Danny Etling.

I know what you're doing...uh huh, there it is! The race card! Why does it always come down to this? Can't we all just pull for all the Tiger QB's to do their best and may the best man win? I, personally, don't care what ethnicity the guy is...as long as he can be our best option to win.

I will bet the ranch that Burrow starts! He might not have been guaranteed the job but I can assure you it was implied!

Seems like the OLine is having a lot of issues, depth being a major one, which will leach into QB play. This tells me the “best QB” may not be the starter. Instead, the QB who can roll out the pocket, throw an accurate pass, and be resilient enough to tuck and run will get the start. IMO, McMillian is the guy who will give us the best chance to keep drives alive as he’s our best mobile passer with quick feet. Having said that, I have no idea how fast Burrow is or how accurate he can be on the run; all I have to go on is limited film of spring games, practice, and bs scrimmage stats. Still, Burrow looks really good but I’m not sure it’s going to work with the way the OLine is shaping up and no proven run game to take pressure off the QB.

I think we all know what’s coming this season if our OLine is struggling this severely. The scrimmage results were just plain stupid and on top you have O harping on all the mental mistakes. I’m really hoping the staff irons out the issues and moves whoever they need to protect the QB. James Cregg will earn his money this year for sure.

Told you Burrow is going to be y'alls Coker. He should be great next year. And if McMilan is Blake Sims, I'd be excited for this year.

That's what some of the unathletic sports journalist don't get...McMillan's & Burrow's mobility is not that much different!
