We do not. Arkansas.

Yes, it was in the middle of nowhere. We don't have that type of room to expand like they did.

Third, while records are nice, I would prefer larger crowds nightly than one game records and our fans are well engaged...sometimes too wngaged.
We don’t get this. The box is only good for super regionals now.

Student section, sure, but overall atmosphere, no.

Have you ever been to a game there?

16,423 is the attendance record they set today. Between 2 unranked teams that are 3-10 in SEC play. Of course it helps that it’s a rivalry game, but it’s also because of the atmosphere that they have created at Dudy Noble. It sucks to say, but that atmosphere is better than any regular season atmosphere that we will have at the Box this year. Just shows how important have a nice stadium and fan friendly atmosphere is.

Lets look at the situation here. MSU pretty much is not good at much. The school is out in the sticks. Baseball has been some center of achievement and regional pride in the last 20 yrs or so and they have invested heavily in that which they should. There is not much else in Starkville to attract the masses this time of year and there "build it and they will come" is true for MSU baseball.

That doesnt mean that Alex Box sucks or doesnt need some enhancements but damn put some context into the thought.

I don’t see how we could put tailgate suites/ a hotel in the box.

The whole reason we built it where we did was because of all the extra room.

You're really cherry picking here. It has less to do with facilities and more with the opponent. As someone above said, when Ole Miss and State play they could pack just about anywhere.

Not sure about this season, but weren’t lead the nation in attendance since 2019.

You are thinking in terms of paid attendance, not actual people in seats.

LSU just built the new box a little too soon; before the true arms race on baseball facilities and stadiums began.

I don’t see any drastic changes anytime soon.

For parking.

Hopefully we make U-High's field move.

State has packed games vs OOC fwiw. They have better fan support. And it’s partially due to that stadium.

Last year, yes.

This year, not so much.

The Tenn series showed one of the top crowds in the country this season,

It would've been even bigger if there was room for it. I would have loved to go, but I'm not much for SRO when I know even that is going to be packed. I stayed home and watched WBB and Baseball on TV.

Baum was the first. All chair backs. Concourse and suites all the way down the lines. And this was in 2006. Why we didn’t try to one up that place is beyond me. Founders was built the same year as us. All chair backs. Beautiful facades. This isn’t a good excuse for how cheaply we went.

We should be flush with cash we just got a new tv deal and we don’t have much reason to invest in the pmac currently. Plus baseball is winning again.

I have put thought into into. Since you want to include where it’s at into the equation, Starkville has a population of 25,000 people. It’s hard to attract 15,000 people to any singular event in a town of 25,000.

We went about as uncreative and cheap as we could on the stadium. Including hauling over old bleachers.

We went all out for team things as we should but we could have at least tried with the rest of the park

Yes our woman’s team is excellent, but the money driving men’s team is basement dwelling.

its hard for me to pick between baseball and basketball as a favorite but I’d pick to upgrade the box currently over the pmac. Both need work and the pmac is near dead last in the sec.
