For the first time ever, it looks like Miles' apologists have turned

They simply can't come up with a single legit argument for his ineptness as a coach. Now only if the powers that be can make a decision that's best for the program and not their political careers and egos.

It's Louisiana, they're not going to do that unless it's also best for their wallets.

I was finally done after the Alabama game last year. Held in longer than most.

I have been a Mles supporter (STILL love that dude) and a posi-Tiger.
I am now in the Miles is done camp. He had his chance after the shot across the bow. I think he should be released immediately.
It makes me a bit sad. I am not angry. It just has to be done.

Last year the media stood up for Miles, criticized "spoiled" LSU Fans, pressured LSU admins, fueled an outpouring of support, and sent the message the status quo was just fine.
Now they have to own up to that. And as usual, it won't be "we were wrong"; it will be to criticize Miles openly and often with words like "disappointing, underachieving, and embarassing".
I have already witnessed this criticism with commentators last night and articles this morning after yesterday's loss showcased a team that fundamentally was EXACTLY the same that lost 3 straight games last season.
I expect it to get worse.

I hated the way that LSU handled it last year but I wanted him gone. We are a perennial 8 win team now under Miles. And 8 might be hard to get to this year now.

There is a lot about Les Miles the man that is endlessly defensible. I will defend him as a human being for the rest of my days. As a coach however, he has destroyed the on-field product, squandered a historic opportunity we have to win championships, and tarnished his legacy. The sooner he is out the better. I will not renew my tickets or make another donation to LSU as long as he is our coach. That's not mean-spirited, that's just being rational.

The media wants its lovable dancing monkey to keep getting them excellent ratings and headlines, and even they are turning on him

I hope you Miles supporters are happy. How much more will it take for many of you to realize he is not getting the most out of the talent he has?

They turned for the most part last year

I thought as a student I might be able to see one of LSU's great teams this year with all the talent we brought in. F*** Les Miles' coaching.

I am literally on the fence right now and that's only because Wisconsin wasn't an SEC team. If we lose SEC games I will officially be on the fire miles no matter what team.

That was extremely well stated.

What's so alarming is every aspect of coaching is inept poor tackling. Poor off. Execution. Poor kicking. Lame rugby kicker. I see a worse defense than ever so much wasted talent. We could not have beaten John Curtis. Or West Monroe. They both have better coaches.

Why? They don't give a frick about LSU. They're just like Alexander, Jindal, the board of supervisors, the legislature and the pumpers on this board. They created this shitshow and now they're going to enjoy it. The ones who have to "own up" to something are the ones who are still stupid enough to finance this circus by spending money on season tickets, sports cable/satellite packages, concessions, donations, etc. when every dollar is obviously being wasted on the most overpaid coaching staff in sports history. I'm guilty, as are the vast majority of the fan base.
Where we as a fan base really fricked up with Les Miles is that we were too supportive, too forgiving, too charitable in our judgments and too generous with our money. That has to stop, or the dumpster fire never will.
