That’s not going to happen. For as much as people like to talk about how O “loves LSU” and “bleeds purple and gold” he has ALWAYS acted in his own best interest first and foremost.

He’s not going to walk away from millions of dollars.

Unless he gets a reduced buyout to step away instead of being fired with cause. Which is what will happen if he doesnt step down.

I'll bet he negotiates a settlement on his buyout and exits stage right. If he's fired for cause he probably loses everything.

I mean, if he’s still getting the buyout (even if reduced) then is he really “stepping down”? Semantics at that point.

What in God's name could he have done to induce him to step down? Has he been directly tied to any misconduct? I would like for someone to present a cogent theory that doesn't entirely hinge on speculation. I'm not trying to be dismissive or snide, but this doesnt make sense unless there are some undisclosed revelations.

If the Title IX investigation turns out bad, it will creep into next year.

I don’t think either side wants that legal fight. If there’s a divorce this year it will almost certainly involve a negotiated reduced buyout unless more shite comes out.

This is the best one so far. True or not, I’m rolling with it. But dude’s ego is too big to voluntarily step down. Maybe forced

TBL I realize you probably can’t say, but in the event that you can.. you heard anything similar to O eventually stepping down?
