Any head coach that actually coaches and doesn’t just stand on the sideline clapping or walking around the huddle clapping... he doesn’t talk during timeouts, mic is always up/ no input with the coaches in the booth.

He is utterly worthless, no doubt.

Personally I’d make Bob Stoops say no.

If he does, Matt Campbell is an obvious choice.

But I also like Mike Norvell and Brohm a whole lot.

Since we're just throwing shite against the wall here. How about Matt Campbell? Not sure of the fit but he's got the Cyclones in a pretty good place.

I like him. I think he would be a good hire if we regress.

Well I don't think we should fire O (even though he needs to learn how to talk to media). I say that with the condition he fires Ensminger ASAP and brings a coach to truly modernize the offense. That's what he said he was going to do and the one guy he hired who wasn't already on staff we paid $1.5 million to go away.
Yea, that's why he needs to be fired.

He had his guy and ran him off.

We all know Etling didn't have much talent. I think some folks need to go check his stats again from last season, his stats were ridiculously good, and that was mostly thanks to Canada's system.

...well, there’s a coach at aTm that’s making $75 mil and has a record of 5-4.... and how much is O making and what’s his record?....hummmmmm

Wanna bet that changes? Jimbo is a good coach and A$M was a dumpster fire. He will get it turned around. If you want short term ROI, yes Zero is better. Zero will not build the program. Let's see where we are with Zero and where A$M is in 3 years.

From what I've read, if Canada was still here Aranda wouldn't be.

Well if we're being honest, 2 of their losses are to Clemson and Alabama and they looked A LOT better than we did against Alabama......that's before we mention the "talent deficit" compared to LSU and the fact it's his first year.

I'm pretty sure when Jimbo was here the offense looked much better than it currently does. I'm also pretty sure our record would be the same as it is now, our offense just would look better. Hell, we probably even beat UF and are able to stomach the lost to Bama.

Who here thinks Orgeron is truly a better HC than Jimbo?

First, I’d give O the option to hire an OC.

O promised a modern offense. O promised to be hands off. I’d give him a chance to actually do that.

If not... give the job to Aranda.

I see what Kirby Smart has done at UGA and I think Aranda could do the same at LSU

Major Applewhite would be my first choice, but there are several young up and coming coaches. There are no older coaches I would choose.

well, so far me and Alleva have interviewed the same number of candidates (not name Orgeron) for the gig.

The last time we had to hire a HC, our AD had a 3-4 month head start & did I miss that line of coaches lining up Nicholson Drive beating down the door?
The negatigers knew they could get the A&M guy or the Texas guy....they said they would kill to come to LSU...how did that work out?
By the way, how are those guys working out now? Don't you wish you were Aggie or Longhorn fans?
Let's see, we had a team picked 5th or 6th in the SEC west ranked in the Top 10 with a real chance to go to a New Years Day Bowl game & we lose to Alabama & they want to fire......anybody, everybody....HC, OC, DC, S&C guy, band director, etc. Did I leave anyone out?
We need to set realistic goals. Our model should be something like: 10-2, New Years Day Bowl game, Top 10 recruiting class, each recruiting class goes to the SEC Champ game during their 4 years. We the fans job should be to hold the AD & HC accountable & enjoy the ride. There is nothing anyone can do about the negatigers. They are quite when we will & happy when they can bitch. They are not worth it.

I wouldn't be upset if he was fired, but the timing sucks, which is Allevas fault. If we fire him this year we will be paying two buyouts and a new HC. If they wouldn't throw down the cash for our top Les replacements they won't do it for O's either.

Let his contract run out and part ways, if he can't get us to the playoffs by then. People will say he's going to ruin the program by then, and the truth is no he won't. We will be in the same position as when Les left. A lot of good talent that needs a modern coaching philosophy to take it to the next level.

I just don't see the point of spending all the money to get rid of him when there's no clear cut (obtainable) guy to replace him available. If the AD said we are going to pay whatever it takes to improve this program I would be all for it, but sadly that won't happen with the current administration in place. So until that happens might as well save the buyout money.

You mean when our clown ad offered the 2 most obvious candidates and then hired one of the most unqualified hires for a top program in sec history

You think this isnt an indictment on our ad? You have no idea which coaches had their people reach out.

If memory serves it was F#*ing Alexander that nixed the Jimbo deal.

When you pay less than 50% of market for a quality HC, what do you expect to get?
