I wouldn't bet on him becoming an NFL QB, but I don't think we can discount the comparisons to these other two guys.

Its possible, there are some horrible qbs in the NFL right now, so its possible a team could take a chance on him.

wrong again, that his freshman yr.

his soph AND jr. yr stat lines were pretty good, and then he went pro after his jr yr.

I would not say "his life is ruined" by making or not making the NFL.

Only a few people play in the NFL, that does not mean that everyone elses life is ruined.

JJ has not shown the leadership ability (pre incident), athletic ability, or football IQ to be an NFL QB.

Thanks - thats helpful. And not even close to factual. You can disagree with my comparison, but to try and degrade it to something like that makes me thing you have no actual thoughts of relevance and would rather discount me than actually face the fact that you don't know what you're talking about.

Look at their stats. Look at their heights. If you don't think Campbell was fairly unpopular around Auburn his junior year, then you weren't around. None of them have quick releases.

And about Freemans not being surrounded by the talent - he also wasn't playing SEC defenses each week. How many Big 12 QBs were throwing for 300 yards a game during the years he was playing?

When did I say that? It was obvious Campbell had the talent from day 1. He just didn't put it together. JJ does not have QB skills like that. He might be a better athlete, but thats it.

Just quit on the Freeman comparisons. You sound retarded.

Did Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy suck because they were playing against those "horrible" Big 12 defenses? Yes the SEC has the best defenses, but the difference is not night-and-day.

The stats I looked at didn't list his class so I had to try to match up his DOB and years.

I will remove my Freeman comparison because clearly his junior years and JJs are vastly different.

"This" did not ruin his life; HE ruined his life when he decided to behave the way he did. It was his actions that put him in this place. I don't feel the least bit sorry for him.

I put the odds of JJ making it to the NFL as a quality QB at about 001%, but I think taking away his chance at doing so, unless there are things that happened worse than the rumors, are stupid and symptomatic of the screwed up society we live in.

Honestly, unless he just completely blows up this year, I'm not sure I see JLee making an NFL roster. I could be wrong.

No matter what goes down in this incident, I can see both he and JJ as being candidates for an Arena roster. Maybe even Canada (where, with a larger field, a mobile QB is more prized) in JJ's case.

Why are you so damn hung up on this us vs them mentality?

I think you will find that many LSU are biased in their view of the QBs.

You seem to be doing a fine job of putting yourself squarely in this class. Go with the flow, don't be so obsessed about JJ. Why did you have to bring the other guy into the topic?

IF:
JJ had a decent year, and we played for/won BCS title, there's a chance he would have gotten a look.

He's big and pretty quick- after rewatching the Cotton Bowl JJ looked pretty fast out there. Got around Von Miller to the corner, and covered some ground on his scrambles/keepers. Really fast for a QB, but more importantly, big and fast enough to get a look at being a possession WR (Hines Ward?) on someone's practice squad.

Now, would he? That's speculation- but again he was going in as the starter on a team picked to contend.

This isn't a slam on JJ but do you honestly believe he is NFL material? Based on what we've seen on the field, I don't think he would be drafted and if not drafted, his odds of being an undrafted free agent really play against him.

Campbell was shite before his last season. Never know what JJ may or may not have been this season. Hard to just write him off.

His junior year was infinitely better than JJ's. Just saying, he wasn't shite, but was pretty average. Whether or not I think JJ will make it as a QB in the NFL is irrelevant. It's taking that opportunity, no matter how slim away from him that I have issues with.
