Hot carl, you are i denti cal correct! I predict JJ's best game of the season will be against Oregon.

Not until now he hasn't been.

Statistically speaking, they aren't.

But there is something to be said for a player going into his senior season, likely increasing his work effort, with a coach who can instruct him better.

At this point, it's pretty much just hope for the best with JJ.

Remember this is just the 2nd week of spring drills--still early. There is a lot more yet to go.

I think you are confusing him with JL.

I'm delighted to hear that JJ is playing better. I still hope Mett beats him out.

if JJ can pick it backup where he left off last season I think we will be in fine shape come the start off the 2011 season. It should be a good competion going into the fall and may the best man win. Its good to see good competion and good depth at any position but especially the QB position.

This. I can understand the JJ skepticism, but I laugh at some of the people shitting their pants because they think JJ might start next year, when the truth is, if Mett is that much better, he will be starting. You can quote me on saying that JJ will have a fantastic year next year. I really think Mett's arrival lit a fire under his arse.

It is degrees of skepticism. Some think there is still time for JJ to turn it around and be a top 25 QB (what is needed for a legit title run). Some of us think he'll never get there.

At the end of the day, we all want the best player to start.

yea, us fans need to do what we applaud the coaches for; open up the positions competition wise and let the best man win.

Matt Maulk was a great QB! He wasn't as good as Matt Flynt, but he was great nonetheless.

JJ's stat line should never exclude his rushes and rushing TDs. He will never be a passing only QB and therefore his effectiveness should not include only his passing stats. That being said, I hope Mett blows his doors off b/c I don't think we can win a NC with JJ at QB.
