Yep, I would. NO DUMBASS. The mandatory evac order doesn't start until 50 hours before IMPACT....that is Sunday at the earliest with landfall on TUESDAY!

Stop being a bunch of bitches and whining about a damn storm that may not even hit us.

But there isn't. Therefore I can conclude that the game cancellation is sheer hysterics.

ambulance services? police services? All these type of services are going to be used for a football game instead of a state emergency. Come on.

Drop the sport. Donate football monies to starving children in Africa.

CAN WE GET THIS THREAD DELETED? ESPCIALLY IF ALL THE OTHER STUPID arse ONES WERE!!!!!

No basis for deletion imo. People need to realize that a game is secondary to state preparations and safety.

In that case it would safer to cancel or postpone all of the games through hurricane season since Hanna is right behind Gustav.

92,000 people going to a football game (20,000 of whom are students on campus, and another 20,000 of whom are residents of Baton Rouge) is not going to delay, prevent, or stop "millions" of people from evacuating well in advance of this tropical storm.

I think Chadboy is right.
Jindal said he wants evacuations to begin Saturday (LSU Gameday) and those that are actually smart will probably leave Friday as well which just adds to more confusion/congestion/hostility.
Why not postpone the game to a later date and allow for a quick and easy evactuation plan?
Potential Health Hazards?? or Potentially DELAYED (not cancelled completely) game??
Some people need to distinguish between what is truly important.

Dude... traffic after games is not good combined with evacuation traffic can and will have a trickle effect on the traffic conditions...
